I change how I do my hare regularly, so I usually just say "shorter, but leave a little shaggy"

you can say inches all you want, but they DO want to know what clipper number, 1 2 3 4 5 etc if its less than an inch

#2 on the side, top about 1 inch or so

Clipper = BZZZZZZZZZZ electric clippers

Cut = Snip snip snip, manual sharp metal dealies called scissors

#1 on the sides and back, trim a little on top. Don't cut the bangs too short.

Do you guys tip your barber/stylist? I've been going to the same barber for a little more than four years, so he knows what I want, but I usually give him $18 for a $15 bill. Is that the status quo, or do you usually just pay the bill?

If it makes any difference, he owns his own barbershop and he's the only employee.

I usually tip around $2. I hate it though when they give you change in big bills, and then act like it's a hassle for them to reopen the register to break it. Like I am gonna give them a $5 or $10 as a tip!

never tipped in my life. nobody tips me for fixing their computers over the phone, so why should they get a tip?

If you ever go to Master Cuts, do not be too vague. I once told the hair stylist to trim the sides and cut a little off the top. I ended up with a coconut haircut.
