Disturbed - Down With the Sickness .... "ooooh AH AH AH AH!!! AWK AWK!!" - I love that

and

Fat Boy Slim - Right Here Right Now (just because it reminds me of the Sixers intro)

Oh gee...there are so many songs with such cool beginnings that I wouldn't know which one to pick...

This is the only one that currently comes to mind, but it's not one that gives me goosebumps or anything...

Metallica - Black Album - The Struggle Within (cool & powerful first 30 seconds, and an otherwise awesome song too)

And more from Metallica:

Metallica - Master of Puppets - Battery (love that transition between the soft, Spanish guitar play at the beginning and the heavy stuff afterward)
Metallica - Ride the Lightning - Fight Fire with Fire (quite a similar story to the above, but I favor this beginning slightly)
Metallica - Ride the Lightning - For Whom the Bell Tolls

Down with the Sickness does indeed have a nice beginning...$hitty song though...Surprisingly $hitty for such a nice beginning.

Literally, like the first 2.6 seconds of The Cure-Friday I'm in love. After that, change the track.

<< Nirvana's Smells like Teen Spirit >>

The intro to that one and the solo from it are so neat. I love to play it on the guitar when my parents aren't home (they don't appreciate that kind of music, for some strange reason ;) )

<< Boston "Foreplay-Longtime" >>

Definitely; this must be my favorite.

And one more I must never forget:

<< Walk This Way - Aerosmith >>

I just love that drum part on the very beginning, it's the most interesting rythm.

Lynyrd Skynyrd - Sweet Home Alabama

Big wheels keep on turning
Carry me home to see my kin
Singing songs about the Southland
I miss Alabamy once again
And I think its a sin, yes

Well I heard mister Young sing about her
Well, I heard ole Neil put her down
Well, I hope Neil Young will remember
A Southern man don't need him around anyhow

Sweet home Alabama
Where the skies are so blue
Sweet Home Alabama
Lord, I'm coming home to you

In Birmingham they love the governor
Now we all did what we could do
Now Watergate does not bother me
Does your conscience bother you?
Tell the truth

Sweet home Alabama
Where the skies are so blue
Sweet Home Alabama
Lord, I'm coming home to you
Here I come Alabama

Now Muscle Shoals has got the Swampers
And they've been known to pick a song or two
Lord they get me off so much
They pick me up when I'm feeling blue
Now how about you?

Sweet home Alabama
Where the skies are so blue
Sweet Home Alabama
Lord, I'm coming home to you

Sweet home Alabama
Oh sweet home baby
Where the skies are so blue
And the governor's true

Sweet Home Alabama
Lordy
Lord, I'm coming home to you
Yea, yea Montgomery's got the answer

Metallica - One guitar intro kicks ass... and so does Master of Puppets.

Hell there's a lot of them written by Jaymz & Lars...

Jaymz Hetfield is God.

gotta agree w/ Boston - Longtime
also:
Metallica - For whom the bell tolls (well, tons of pre-black album metallica)
Led Zeppelin - When the levee breaks

and what about Peter Frampton - Do you Feel like we do?
