What should be done about homeless children dying on the streets?

More and more we are seeing homeless families with children. Often times the young cannot tolerate the homeless lifestyle and end up dead in a ditch, or some back alley. Shouldn't something be done to help keep a shelter over these families head and food and clean water in their mouths.

If this increase in homeless families is true, it's just more evidence that our nation is transforming into a third world country.

cut foreign aid and military spending. a country as wealthy should not have any homeless people, let alone children.

i'll be running for office in 2020, btw.

At least you give the world eight years to end before we're ready for you.

Thanks for that.

wow, a troll thread and each of you have just forced God to kill 1 kitten today. what a shame, u all be jerkz cuz they were cute kittens.

Frankly I'm more concerned with the long-term effects from people eating the bodies.

Most of us think of cannibalism as being a victimless crime, but if they lack good insurance coverage then we the taxpayers must foot the bill when they develop Creutzfeldt–Jakob disease.

Here is what we will do:
*Not donate to charity
*Not volunteer at homeless shelters
*Bitch about it on internet forums full of fellow partisan hacks
*Vote (D)
*Make the rich (defined as everyone that makes more than we do) pay more in taxes
*Prevent drug testing of welfare recipients (in the name of privacy)
*Encourage those that cannot afford kids to have more kids via various social welfare programs in the name of "think of the children"

Haha. :awe:

I see emotional appeals have become news. No article, not other information just "think of the children".

130 year ago when someone came the US they worked their asses off to make a life here. There were no food stamps, section 8 housing, and welfare back then. Surely if you want to go back in time 130 years of social policies you'll have a lot of taxpayers on your side.

/agree

Back then - it was more difficult to get TO America. And once you arrived - you had to work your ass off to make a name for yourself.

Today - simply walk across the border and then become a financial drain on society.

Otherwise they might understand that adding millions of poor people each year to a nation that already has tens of millions of poor and underemployed people increases the amount of poverty and misery in this country.

Can't have a revolution without an abused underclass.

Giving free things to other people in the name of "caring" has always motivated people to better themselves in past attempts...

Wow maybe there should be a requirement that people post stories in their OP. Most poor kids are suffering from being TOO fat.

Ok it had to be done,

Here is what we will do:
*Make it illegal for homeless to be homeless (problem solved)
*Bitch about it on internet forums full of fellow partisan hacks (this ones universal)
*Vote(R)
*Despise the poor and fat and anyone else who has problems which we perceive to cause us inconveniences (no matter how minor)
*Claim that drug testing welfare recipients will somehow help children(and if it doesn't at least maybe the parents will die off)
*Restrict abortion because you can't claim moral superiority unless there are more children suffering or dying
*Smugly have as many children as you want because of your superior morality and because you worked so darn hard to have a better life than the homeless

Actually, it's liable to prevent revolution (see South America). Since the impoverished immigrants are already accustomed to poverty and might regard it as the normal state of affairs, they won't be outraged. In contrast angry Americans who remember what it was to be middle class might be more likely to riot.

Not riot, change their political affiliations. For the most part political affiliations tend to be similar to religious ones with people just supporting whoever their parents did. The democrats were the conservative party for the first century, the republicans for the second, and now it looks like change is in the wind again. Politicians can promise the moon if they want, but if they consistently fail to produce results people eventually get the idea.

If they are illegals or children of illegals I dont give a shit.

If they are Americans I think we should round up the illegals and make them build houses and hospitals.
