And that's what the entirety of ATOT is telling him. HE CAN'T. There is no way he can survive in the long run without a gun. The fact that he clings to the idea that he can shows that he is truly stupid.

The only way for him to survive is to leave that restrictive island he calls home and go to a country where he can own a gun.

Neckbeard = Zombiebait. Can we get a mod to change his name?

This thread is just about getting a kit together, with no gun in it, as I explained on the first page my zombie kit isn't just for zombie attacks, so just forget the gun thing and we'll move on, I said in the OP: No guns.

You're pretty well situated yourself for the coming zombocalypse. Neckbeard could only wish that his government loved their people enough to let them have a fighting chance.

So.........

What was the general consensus on the best primary gun and backup handgun?

Do we assume that the zombie craniums are soft-shelled? I'm wondering if a fragmenting light caliber would be a good handgun then. Want to be able to carry plenty of ammo.

I was just trying to figure out the best guns to have for your zombie survival kit.

You are the one that started a thread about what you would need.

This thread isn't about guns, I said that in the OP, stop trolling, stop trying to derail. Go start your own thread.

Hey people,

I'm putting together an emergency bag, in the event of a Zombie attack. What should it contain?

Looks to me like you were needing advice on an emergency bag in the event of a zombie attack. Guns would definitely be needed. I figured by page 5 of the thread there would have been a general consensus on the best guns.

Re read OP, come back:

Hey people,

I'm putting together an emergency bag, in the event of a Zombie attack. What should it contain? (No guns)

Here's what I've thought of so far:

Clothes
Rope
Handcuffs
Metal Baseball Bat
Crowbar
Hand Axe
Felling Axe
Hammer
Nails
Matches
Fire lighters
First Aid Kit
Bottles
Cans of Food
Torch
Small lock knife
Large Knife
Machete
Screwdriver Set
Sewing Kit
Blankets
Water proof sheets
Duct tape

... :hmm:

Edit: Candles

Would you please stop threadcrapping? We're trying to have a serious discussion here.

Back on topic. I think I would favor a shotgun. The thing that comes to my mind though, is the insistence on pumps really necessary? Are semi-automatics still that unreliable when it comes to shotguns?

I think that besides a shotgun slug, you're best best is a round that tumbles as much as possible after entry.

But then again, a FMJ will work since you don't want to get close to the zombies. Luckily we have people like neckbeard who will try and fight them hand to hand and slow them down enough for the rest of us to escape.

My bad, I left out the candle part. But whats that have to do with guns?

One serious error is that he has matches for the candles. Matches could get wet and will eventually run out. He's better off getting himself a flintlock pistol. That will double as an emergency firearm and he can keep the lock around to start fires.

Yeah, but FMJ is just through and through. Just how far away are we intending to engage zombies? I can't imagine we would have more than a hundred yards because most of the time, if my research into popular media is any indication, they always spring out at you in close quarters or confined spaces.

Clothes
Rope
Handcuffs - No need. With a gun you could just shoot dissenters.
Metal Baseball Bat - No need. With a shotgun you could kill a zombie.
Crowbar - No need. With a shotgun you could kill a zombie.
Hand Axe - OK, you can keep your axe.
Felling Axe - No need. You already have a hand axe.
Hammer - OK, you can keep your hammer.
Nails - Why? You can get them at any hardware store. Takes up space and makes noise.
Matches
Fire lighters - Isn't this what matches are for?
First Aid Kit
Bottles - What, do you need baby formula too?
Cans of Food
Torch - You mean flashlight?
Small lock knife - Negative. Leatherman. Silly brit, single use tools are for dead men.
Large Knife - Negative. Kukri or Machete.
Machete - See above
Screwdriver Set - Negative. Leatherman
Sewing Kit - You gonna bake me a cake at the same time that you darn my socks?
Blankets
Water proof sheets
Duct tape

There, a lighter load which you can use for guns.

That's what the shotgun is for.

OK, I'll spell it out for you again:

I can't get a gun from anywhere near me
I can't legally own a gun
I can't get a firearms certificate in order to legally own a gun where I live.
I could not buy a gun.
I do not believe in the morality of personal gun ownership, although this issue is completely superseded by the points above.

Figured it out now?

Not dogpiliing, but I thought you owned a shotgun? Did you used to own one? If so, why did you get rid of it if you don't mind?

Yeah I did! I sold it for a combination of reasons, I moved into a new flat, which I couldn't legally keep it in. I needed the money, and I'd been thinking about the morality of owning it and decided I didn't want to anymore. Combine that with constant suicidal thoughts I figured it wasn't the best thing to have lying around.
