I like to work on webpages and such esp using flash. The problem is that you have to make a page that can run on someones machine that only uses 800x600 or so. I hate having to make the java window so damn small so I was curious what the majority of you use for a screen resolution. The problem is that many computer users use the lower resolutions because it makes the fonts bigger, but they dont realize you can adjust the font and icon size in windows properties.

1280x960 @ 72Hz on my 17" Viewsonic Flatscreen

1280x960 isn't an inbetween resolution, 1280x1024 is.

Hahah... 1280x1024 is a 1:1.25 aspect ratio resolution, or what you would call an "in-between" resolution. 1280x960 is a true 1:1.33 resolution, just like 640x480, 800x600, 1024x768 and 1600x1200, it's designed to fit our 1:1.33 displays. Perhaps you should fix up the poll.

I think that ATI cards do not offer 1280x960. That is why you see games benchmarked at 1280x1024 when ATI cards are involved.

I like to work at 640 X 480, I used to have this on my 19" before win XP and etc, but people kept freakin' making so you had to have a higher res for web sites. I am now at 1024x768.

1152x864 here. 17" monitor and everything on-screen like the size of the text and taskbar, etc. seem to be a good size for me.

Website stats across many sites I'm affiliated with/use reveal that users mostly use 1024x768.
