no, everything in the game is bigger in 640*480 mode...and you see less screen
3D objects are always the same size, regardless of the resolution. The only time something would change size is in the case of the text and/or HUD not scaling properly. But those are not 3D objects.

I'm going to try that next time....I wonder then if you will miss since the stuff gets smaller in higher resoultions
Nothing will get smaller. In fact you'll be able to hit things better because they will be clearer and easier to see, especially at long range.

1280x1024: (Radeon 9700 Pro)

AA: 4X
AF: 16X
Texture Preference: High Quality
MipMap Detail Level: High Quality
Vertical Sync: AP
Truform: AP

1024 x 768 x 32 @ 100Hz AXP @ 1775, 512MB @ CAS2 GF4 Ti4400 @300/600

Game features maxed.... (If I can't max... I upgrade 😀 )

(crosshairs & text too small at higher res.)

Normally 1280x960 for FPS. For RTS I will normally play at 1600x1200. I have v-sync off for D3D and OGL, no AA (at that res you really don't need to), and aniso I have it set to 1 (which basically means it's turned off).

Btw refresh rate is at 85hz, and color 32bit.

Insidious - that is the spirit 😀

Whenever that g4ti4400 becomes useless to you ship it over to me and I'll buy it from you 😛

But that is beautiful.....you must replace your card once a year or something.

So for you a game is always pretty 🙂

1024*768 100HZ in most games

cs v-sync off 100fps and drops a lil in major battles...

wondering how ppl can play in 1600*1200? what fps u get...

i know v-sync off boosts fps but still...

1152x864 on a 19" monitor here. 1280x1024 does not have the proper ratio so this is the closet best one for me. 1600x1200 is a bit too small.
