I can see everything fine, it's just that I feel like I'm getting a headache. It probably has more to do with going from 100hz down to 85hz.

1600 x 1200, 21 inch CRT (.21 dot pitch)

I use higher resolutions for photo editiing.

Games at less than 1600 x 1200 are unplayable, I'm spoiled.

i just upped my res from 11x8 to 12x9 - nearly the maximum my 19" CRT supports . . . . unfortunately i had to lower the refresh rate from 85 to 75hz (the absolute maximum my monitor supports is 12x10 @ 79hz . . . . might have to use PowerStrip to get exactly 80hz for 12x9) . . . . am reevaluating the change. 😉

Frankly, i think i prefer 11x8 with a higher refresh . . . .

1024x768, Dell 17"
Often go for 1152x864 for some things, but the monitor will not get that res square.

I found out something neat after changing my resolution to 1280x1024 tonight. My monitor saves alignment settings for each resolution and automatically recalls them when the resolution changes. That's brilliant! I can switch between 1024x768 and 1280x1024, or any resolution for that matter, and the screen will stay "squared".

I've been staring at a Word document for a few hours now and that headache of mine dissapeared. I think it was a conincidence. 1280x1024 looks great 🙂

1280 x 1024 @ 85hz on 19" Nec/Mitsu 930sb for desktop resolution

In games i use 1280 x 1024 4x AA/8xAF or 1600 x 1200 4x AA/8xAF depending on the game i play.I do use 1280 x 1024 a little more though

Both at 85hz (6800 GT)

What's with all the 1280*1024, lots of LCDs? It's not a 4:3 res, so kinda pointless on a CRT.

Yea, I'm wondering about that myself. I switched to 1280x960 after comparing screenshots of 1280x1024 and 1280x960. At 1280x1024, you can't see as much left to right.

Didn't know that.....will have a look later.....

How does the refesh rate compare to FPs????....some of my games look choppy at 80fps....could this be because My monitor is sh!t and only supports 60hz @1280x1024
