This is something that I have wondered. What percent of the people on here follow some sort of religion.

Poll is flawed. Free-thinkers aren't necessarily atheists, and atheism should not be listed (or be listed as "none").

In all seriousness I identify with the church of the apathetic agnostic. Don't know don't care.

Not all "free thinkers" (whatever they are) are atheists, and not all atheists are "free thinkers".

Why would you possibly quote Kevin Rose about religion?

/Googles who Kevin Rose is.

Yeah, I gotta agree with this - it's like consulting Keira Knightley on the merits of string theory.

I disagree. All free thinkers are athiest. If you follow any diety then you are not a free thinker.

Well before I can agree or disagree we would need to define the ethereal term "free thinker". Sounds kinda like a buzz word to me.

It was fitting to how i feel about religion? I never said he was a religion guru

It just implies that you have a fair amount of respect for a guy who I've always considered to be kind of an obnoxious d-bag. Of course, that's just personal opinion... but seriously, it's like quoting Carson Daly on politics or something.

I agree its the same as things like Humanist, or Naturalist. It seems like a way to soften the word atheist.

Agnostic I guess? Maybe Atheist? Perhaps all of the above?

I feel that there is one universal truth about all gods, and that is they all adhere to order, rules, purpose. They make sense of the universe, all of them, even the "bad" ones. I acknowledge that there is order in the universe, there are rules and they give us a purpose: to strive to understand them.

If someone wishes to call the order of the universe "god", then I am a religious man and the nature of my worship is the pursuit of knowledge.
