I'm just curious, I was using 75Hz and I was noticing that it was really starting to hurt my eyes, now I have changed to 85Hz and it has made a real improvement. What refresh rates do you guys use? What refresh rate do you consider to be good for eyes?

Thanks in advance,

85 Hz. My monitor (Viewsonic A70f) is a couple years old, and a 17". 85 Hz is the highest rate at which it will do 1024x768.

No clue on the one CRT in my life. At work I get LCDs, and I'll probably be using the PB more often.

wow, it seems that a lot of people are using LCDs, but they are still very expensive compared to a CRT, you can get a decent 19" CRT for under $200, on the other hand a 17" LCD is still pretty expensive :(

85Hz. I used 90, but my current card/drivers lacks it as a selection.

On my two 19" trinnies I run a 1280 x 960 @ 100hz for the desktop, and games @ 1600 x 1200 @ 85hz.

100Hz. For some reason I can't stand anything lower if the OS is XP.

75Hz and higher on 9x or 2K was fine.

1024 x 768 @ 60 or 65 Hz (can't remember). That's the highest the monitor can do at 1024, which blows. I might just switch to 800 x 600 cause it's way easier on the eyes although I loose desktop room.
