thank you, finally a real car in all this butdamn when are the americans going to start putting AWD on some of their cars now since it seems to be the fad and no ONLY on family cars. i would love to see an AWD SVT Focus

The next RS Focus will be AWD, but no RS's for YOU! Europe only! 😉

as far as audis,

urquattro.. starting 1980
100/200/5000,V8, starting 1986
A4, A6, A8 - complete run
S2/RS2/S4/S6/Setc
passat

etc

One of the soviet "pobeda"s from 1955 had 4x4 too, and i think DKW made on sometime before that, looking similar to VW 'thing'.
here is pic of pobeda from 1955g. http://digilander.libero.it/cuoccimix/G72.jpg

all the A4s had the option of quattro, however not all of them are.

Talon/Eclipse is probably the most common/popular.

I'm sure there's a few more, but damned if I can think of them. The Civic Wagon had 4WD though. 😉

Not many of them were AWD though were they? Most of them were FWD.

Subaru is the only one I can think of that I would actually own. Audi's are horrible for reliability.
About 5% of the Eclipse sales were AWD, IIRC. Probably a higher percentage of the Talon sales were AWD, because they marketed it a lot stronger ("It's all wheel drive. Great, so it's all we'll drive.") and its American twin, the Laser, didn't offer AWD.
