One of the soviet "pobeda"s from 1955 had 4x4 too, and i think DKW made on sometime before that, looking similar to VW 'thing'.

About 5% of the Eclipse sales were AWD, IIRC. Probably a higher percentage of the Talon sales were AWD, because they marketed it a lot stronger ("It's all wheel drive. Great, so it's all we'll drive.") and its American twin, the Laser, didn't offer AWD.Originally posted by: JulesMaximus

Not many of them were AWD though were they? Most of them were FWD.
Subaru is the only one I can think of that I would actually own. Audi's are horrible for reliability.

all the A4s had the option of quattro, however not all of them are.
