What plant are these?

I was riding my bike through the trails in the woods behind my house today as I normally do but I found a bunch of these weird plants. There were a bunch of them, and I've never seen them up here before. Can anyone help identify them? Links to pics are below.

You want me to take some more pics as proof? Now knowing what it is I'd be feeling as skeptic as you are now, but I can assure you I did find these plants. Does anyone have any advice on how to proceed now? I'm not so sure notifying the authorities is such a good idea considering it's on my land.

The authorities aren't going to press charges on you if you notify them you found pot growing in the woods on your property. Do you honestly think they'd assume you were stupid enough to plant marijuana in the wild, then call the police on yourself? They'll show up, confiscate it and burn it.

My uncle works for the forestry department in Northern California. A few years back he was working some trails around Arcata / Humboldt County and he came across a large growth of marijuana. He had his team pull it all out, throw it in a pile and make a bonfire. I believe his exact words were "there were some happy campers there that night..."

just throw some crack rocks on the stumps, im sure that will be reparations enough.
