Monitors, mice, modem, power supplies(at work), cd-roms (at work), Hard drives (at work), motherboard (still pluggin away, I'll get a new one soon). I have to stop getting cheap monitors. Luckily my floppy drive, which is 2 1/2 years old without a front cover, has not failed yet. And my power supply at home is probably not on the recommended list for my cpu (I got it with a k6-2 400, after 2 mobos 1 cpu 2vid cards and 1 case later it still works.)

Dvd-drives, my first Creative 2x drive died after nearly 2 years. My second, the one I use now, a 10x Pioneer drive, sometimes spit the discs out or crashes when playing a dvd. It helps to take the casing of the drive and put it on again though

Hard-drives, my 20Gb IBM Deckstar 34GXP died a couple of months ago, took 20Gb anime fansubs with it :(

Had some trouble with my Plextor 8x drive, thought it had died only 2 weeks after guarantee ended, but a bios-flash (the bios of the drive) made it work again.

I fried a 1.4 T-Bird, it was cracked (d*mn DragonOrb) but worked, then when I got a new mobo (ECS K7S5A) it didn't work anymore. It was with that mobo that the hd died too, but I think it was the bad cpu that was the reason since the board has worked fine since with several other cpus and harddrives.

MICE

go through them in about 3 months

just regular wheel mice (not optical) from microsoft

Unreal Tournament

I have not had any trouble with other hardware breaking and I have been building computers for 6 years

I overclock, don't check for static, and generally I am kind of messy and unorganized with my computer parts

Only thing I've ever had problems with are those cheesy DEER power supplies.

I avoid them at all costs now!!

cheap Power supply (usually last for about a year)

cheap generic RAM

therefore, I only bought named brand RAM and good quality power supply nowadays
