The only piece of hardware that has ever crapped out on me was an old 2GB Western Digital hard drive. They replaced it in a couple of days and that was that.
Monitors, until I spent the dough on a 'real' Monitor (Trinitron TFT "17)
Lately- Sound Cards, I 'Loaned' the same one I've had for 3 years (a cheapie Yamaha YMF-724) to the Radio Station I work at 3 months ago, and I've been through about one very other week. :|
soundblaster sound cards seem to be the root of all problems for me. I am not trying to bad mouth them but they have been the cause of my system not booting up properly. Now, I must tell you that these soundblaster cards are old. I'm talking about before the Soundblaster live! series came out. I had one so old that there was a volume dial on the card itself.
Printers......OMFG I can't believe how unlucky I am with these bastards. I can put together a brand new computer in under 15 min but I touch a printer and somtihng almost always goes wrong, I've been through just about every brand.
