People who do not and cannot contribute in any meaningful way. Not saying that it's wrong or right, but it is a problem no matter how you look at it.

Without such people and their consumption driving the economy, many of you earning a decent wage would suddenly be the ones filling the roles of the poor and useless. Many of these people spend the majority of their money that directly or indirectly pays your wage + creates access for business owners to vast amounts of minimum wage workers.

Do you really think if all the poor and stupid disappeared, the ones in power (or at least better off than you) would suddenly give up their slave wage servants and world dominance? They're going to look at you next and make your current life unbearable.

If it was so successful then why did every country that Hitler took over not embrace the Nazi regime? it may have been brutally efficient but on a humanity level? yeeesh.

I said 25% but actually I believe its higher, somewhere between 25%-50% but closer to 25% than 50%. Maybe about 30% to 1/3. Problem is everybody in this thread and I'm sure no matter who else you ask in the world which group they are in and they will say they are part the other 2/3 almost without exception.

By propping up, I suppose this would include the likes of donald trump who was propped up by the bankruptcy courts 20 years ago.

Not sure if you're aware that the nazis also wanted to put down people who were suffering from depression. They also believed in astrology and nighttime occult rituals.

That's BS though because the Nazis didn't pick people according to their usefulness to society. It was ethnic cleansing, unless you're one to believe that having a pure Aryan population would be a better society than a mixed population I don't see how you can think German society would have been better off without the minorities.

On topic though, I'm fully in favor of cutting off welfare after a set period of time. The tough part is the kids. You don't want kids to starve or to take away kids from their parents. Maybe instead of welfare checks they get welfare jobs so you at least get something out of them.

TANF sets forward the following work requirements necessary for benefits:

1. Recipients (with few exceptions) must work as soon as they are job ready or no later than two years after coming on assistance.
2. Single parents are required to participate in work activities for at least 30 hours per week. Two-parent families must participate in work activities 35 or 55 hours a week, depending upon circumstances.
3. Failure to participate in work requirements can result in a reduction or termination of benefits to the family.
4. States, in FY 2004, have to ensure that 50 percent of all families and 90 percent of two-parent families are participating in work activities. If a state reduces its caseload, without restricting eligibility, it can receive a caseload reduction credit. This credit reduces the minimum participation rates the state must achieve.

This was after Clinton signed into law the Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Act. Not sure if similar requirements exist for Section 8 and food stamps.
