What PC game has the best soundtrack?

I thought the music in Baldur's Gate 2 was really good, not very spectacular when played separately but it fits the game very well.

Sorry, hehe, but been playing that for the last couple of days, and the music is awesome.
And I love the part when they stop the lyrics as I'm grabbing big air, and it hits the instant I land, makes a good landing much much more fun!!!

Agreed, IMHO, FF7 has the best soundtrack of the Playstation era games.

Total Annihilation has some funky stuff going on, as does the Diablo II expansion - even though it's blatantly ripping off Mars (Holst, not the chocolate bar) at the start of Act V...

No One Lives Forever: The game came with a separate music CD. They used it well in the game, to indicate danger and when the enemies had been vanquished.

The original Diablo. I remember them well. I had mp3's from GameSpot.

An old Mechwarrior. I just had an mp3, never played the game.

Green Fandango had some quality tracks.

I am a fan of any newer star wars game due to that awesome john williams score... but as for original...

I liked Myst, both Homeworlds, and Mech Warrior 2. If you were going into consol games I would go with Zelda and the FF series...

i used to turn it up when driving by myself, my 12's didnt like it though

What do you like?

In terms of music, I like the warcraft2 music. really got you in to the game.

I like the voices on diablo 2 though, especially the death voices.
