I used to come for the hardware reviews and news - I first found the site in I want to say 99? It was a while ago - I'm not exactly sure.

I lurked the forums for years before making an account.

DooDoo told me about it when I decided I wanted to build my first pc. Said it was a good resource for technical help. That was before I found the OT forum and was turned to the dark side.

Hardware reviews, then the Hotdeals forum was my main reason for visiting and accessing the forums, now it's probably the OT forums.
 
I was ordering parts and helping a friend build a new PC several years ago. This was one of the first sites that came up when I was researching current tech. (Before AT, I would simply go on price watch, get the cheapest generics without any knowledge of why bus speed and memory switching...or whatever is important).

I lurked technical forums for most of that time...then registered only recently 🙂
My current job turned me into a full-time neffer from the start 🙂
