What "old person" candy will your generation be giving to their grandchildren?

Growing up, we all knew that one grandparent or elderly neighbor that had a candy dish full of butterscotch disks and peppermints that no one liked because it was old person candy.

Once your generation gets old, what will be the old person candy in your candy dish that young kids won't want?

I'm going to suggest Dots and Mike and Ike. Both are good but just kind of meh. My bold prediction is that 20 or 30 years from now the idea of gelatin based candies goes by the wayside and most gelatin candies become like the hard candies of the generation before.
 
M&M's.

Nobody loves them anymore, after the Green M&M lost her go-go boots. Go-go boots are SO yesterday, anymore.

Edit: I'm changing my vote to Milk Duds. Or the Malted Milk balls, if those aren't it.

Know what's good? Butterscotch and peppermint disks at the same time. Elevates both of them.

Probably some kind of licorice, and likely salty licorice. I don't think it's a 'my generation' thing, just a 'me' thing.
 
Skittles. They'll be banned in California then recalcitrant old people will import them from other states out of spite.

There was an article about lack of candy diversity today.

10-20 years ago, you had all different kinds of candy from trick or treatin'. Now it's all the same kit kat, snickers, and skittles, etc.
 
I miss Tangy Taffy. It was much better than Laffy Taffy, especially the artificial orange flavored one. I also miss Spree candy, especially the giant chewy spree. was like a 3"disk.
 
Any one from late 60s, early 70s remember a candy that was a box of tiny red white a blue candy balls that came with a straw so you can shoot them out at people (or a target)? I think it was called orbits or BBs. Was kind of sick but hey, 'merica.
 
My grandkids have known all their lives that if they want candy at our house ...they had better bring it themselves because we never have candy here.
