Listen to the excerpt from FDR's speech in Rachel Maddow's clip.
Her intro puts it in context against Obama's usual lack of fighting the corporatocracy about his speech to the Chamber of Commerce.
It's good to watch, but the FDR clip starts at 1:25.
This is what a President who was not elected by the oligarchy's money sounds like.
IMO, it's one of the best presidential speeches. 'Never has big business been as united in hatred of a man; they are unanimous hating him - and he welcomes their hatred.'
Obama's speech - as her clip points out - is a sad one in contrast. Watch FDR for an inspirational reminder of what the country needs.
FDR makes the claim that 'government by organized money is just as dangerous as government by organized mob'.
Something that fits well with today's 35,000+ lobbyists and stranglehold on elections, with Wall Street and Goldman Sachs running the Treasury for both parties.
And at a time that the concentration of wealth and its harm to the country are back at the peaks just before the Great Depression that FDR did a lot to reverse.
