Wow that is gorgeous! This wasn’t today but this E9 coupe lives at one of my local BMW dealers. Absolute design perfection. I will own one of these but they’re $100k+ now and my existing cars are too high a percentage of my net worth as it is 😂. Still if a recession special comes up …..

I looked into getting one of those...tons of storage room in the back, AWD, great MPG...definitely a stealth vehicle!just picked this up for a road tripper / daily. drives fantastic. You don't see many on the road. Opal/Buick/Vauxhall insignia Estate/ TourX built in germany. 2.0T All wheel drive. and 30ish mpg.
10 ft 4x4 in it today from HD. It's pretty peppy too.I looked into getting one of those...tons of storage room in the back, AWD, great MPG...definitely a stealth vehicle!
Saw this on the road yesterday. /pukeWe saw one of these, in this color, with this nose. My wife & I were busting up laughing at it in the parking lot...that front snout is VERY prominent IRL! It oddly has a certain Halloween vibe to it, like the skull's nostrils below. A bit too much for my tastes haha!

I like my TourX, white 2018, moon roof.just picked this up for a road tripper / daily. drives fantastic. You don't see many on the road. Opal/Buick/Vauxhall insignia Estate/ TourX built in germany. 2.0T All wheel drive. and 30ish mpg.
i did see a kia EV6 yesterday, it's a little crazy looking. I think the ioniq looks fantastic though.
Yeah that nose is very...prominent in real life lol.Saw this on the road yesterday. /puke
Also saw the new Bronco.
This looks particularly evil. This wasn’t today but this E9 coupe lives at one of my local BMW dealers. Absolute design perfection. I will own one of these but they’re $100k+ now and my existing cars are too high a percentage of my net worth as it is 😂. Still if a recession special comes up …..

You know, I saw an orange one flicking about the street the other day. 'twas weird.I saw an Audi R8 V10 , red with temporary tags; probably off the same boat as @AdamK47 ‘s.
Ha! I don’t get that from the design language at all. Guess I must be naturally evil. Now the E9 batmobile variant on the other hand is too evil for me. My mechanic bought one for $9k in 2001. He beat the stock market pretty handily with that one. This looks particularly evil.
I love it.
I saw a mustang that color today and was thinking the same thing.Oh wow, what a great color on that car! Usually I hate that color on other cars. This isn't quite the same shade, but I don't care for it on the Mustang at all lol:

Agreed. It's fun to see it on the road tho...it's sort of like what Ital Design would have imagined a futuristic car as, but back in the 80's. That side triangle indent design feature is pretty interesting IRL too!First time seeing an IONIQ5. Still think they should have included a rear wiper.
I think a lot of it just boils down to simply liking the car itself, so intrinsic value on whatever the owner personally likes is the main driver in a lot of cases. Like a Nissan GT-R is a full second or two slower than a Tesla Plaid at this point, but that's not at all what the car is about! For a lot of people, it's about the story (handcrafted engines), the heritage, the aftermarket mods, etc. For me, I really like aesthetics & weirdness. My current car ('18 Ecoboost Mustang) has very specific aesthetics that I like. I don't care for most other Mustangs at all. Like this design is a solid nope from me:I'm realizing that my criteria for a "neat car" has grown much slimmer in recent years.
Used to be that any higher-end sports car (say, a 911) would be the highlight of the day. Now, it either has to be truly special (such as a recent Lambo or McLaren) or a nicer EV. I can't help but wonder why some folks pour that much money into a modern supercar when they can be smoked (in a straight line, anyway) by someone picking up the kids from school in a Model S Plaid.
