Currently listening to Above & Beyond's Common Ground album. If you like progressive trance, it's right up your alley. Very familiar if you know that A&B sound, but they do branch out into new directions, such as new vocalists and musical flourishes. And yet it feels more cohesive than their last album -- not to knock it (I still love it), but you can tell there was extra thought put into this one.
If you want a representative track from the album, here's "My Own Hymn:"
Listening to Triple J radio in Australia where the Hottest 100 countdown is about to start. Often referred to as "the world's greatest music democracy" it's a great ~6 hours of music from the past year without all that music by numbers crap I always hear from the US top 40s. Not that I love it all, and obviously the best stuff is up the top in a few hours time, but every now and then I like to be exposed to radio showing the best of genres I'd never chose myself.
International listeners be warned Aussie hip hop is jarring at first. Don't judge me, man.
