Funny story... My daughter used to go to work with me sometimes, and befriended my partner. He liked all kinds of music, but at the time, black metal especially. Somehow my daughter ended up telling him she liked Emperor(black metal band), and he got her the Emperor discography for jul. I was kind of puzzled. My daughter never expressed any love for black metal, but whatever... She never really listened to the cds, and every so often I'd wonder how this all came to be...

*Years* later a lightbulb went off! What she really wanted was Godspeed You! Black Emperor. She *does* like them, and I guess she wasn't aware of the full name. She was pretty young; about six. The whole thing's kind of amusing. Both ways really. Imagining her pulling out Emperor or GYBE for her friends is hilarious. The WTF factor is pretty high either way, but especially for Emperor :^D
