Toccata and Fugue in D minor is far more destructive :whiste:

no, they sound "nice" for what they are, PC speakers.

my 15" sub built into my main speakers are driven by 500w rms amp. each

The actual speaker section is driven by 165w rms.

You feel the music :awe:

Yeah, that's why I stopped short of saying that they were anything more than "the best the PC world has to offer." My hearing is bad enough that I couldn't justify a setup like yours that I could never fully appreciate.

Question: Let's say that I want to buy a Sony ES-whatever AVR receiver from Craigslist or something. Am I going to need to buy new speakers or will these work fine? IOW, how do I make sure I won't blow them?

Welcome to the Machine intro sounds very nice on stuff like that. Hooverphonic sounds incredible on stuff than can actually do Hertz.

This will make your ears bleed, Daisy Chainsaw - Love Your Money

Be wery careful turning up the volume.

I would suggest getting better speakers though. Even the frequently on sale Polk speakers from newegg is going to sound better than what you have.
