yeah gods, you think Pearl Harbor was authentic.

you should of seen Toro Toro Toro. made back in the 70's I think. it had TWO directors it had a japanese on and the american one. Japan wanted to make suer that the story was told correctly. it goes to show how truely Brutal Japan was.

<< Braveheart...when that little girl gives young William Wallace that flower at his dad's funeral. >>

Oh yeah. I forgot about that one. That particular scene made me water up pretty quickly, too.

Pee Wee's Big Adventure...remeber what those big bullies did? :frown: 🙁

😉

Actually, I don't believe I have ever cried at a movie...:frown:

A bunch of movies make me tear up, one of the few to do that multiple times is The Blue and the Gray. Stacy Keech really proved how great of an actor he is in that one. American History X pulls on the ole heart strings quite a bit too, particularly because of the reality that is portrayed in that movie. The Color Purple is another heart wrenching drama.

"Tell me, have I been a good man?" That scene in Saving Private Ryan always make me tear up.

The scene from Forrest Gump where he talks to Jenny at the grave.

I cried during Snatch... but it was more from side-splitting laughter than anything else 🙂

Being a father, the father/child scenes get to me.

Field of Dreams and Deep Impact, for example. And yeah, Shawshank rocked. Tim Robbins IS an awesome actor.

I watched Brokedown Palace 3 times on HBO and the third time I just broke into tears. I wasn't crying at the movie, but the concept that it presents. That is all true, and there are hundreds of people sitting in foreign and American jails who did not do anything at all, but were framed. Ever heard of that Canadian-Vietnamese woman who got framed for smuggling drugs and she got the death sentence?

Bridges of Madison County (At the end when Clint is outside in the rain and Meryl doesn't know if she wants to go with him or stay with her husband)
The Green Mile (Most of it)

That's bout it. I'm a BAD man, it takes a lot 2 make me cry, these were some of those.

Same with me. My eyes watered at that Forrest Gump scene. This was probably the last movie I saw that affected me in this way. Well, actually, I did get a little teary eyed in "Frequency" but for some reason, I seem to be less affected emotionally by movies now -- I think I might be emotionally dead inside.

While I haven't actually cried from a movie, in the past I did get teary eyed from a lot of them. Here are some of them that I recall:

Supermain: The Movie. When Lois Lane died in his arms and Superman cried as he flew up into the sky to reverse time. Here was a man who was invulnerable to practically everything -- nothing can hurt him except he was like all men who could have his heart broken.

Star Trek: The Wrath of Khan. I got teary eyed when Spock died.

Ghost. Especially the scene with the penny. This was probably the movie that I came the closest to crying. I had so much tears it was actually flowing down my cheeks. Well, I guess that means I was actually crying instead of just being teary eyed! haha 😉

I would have to agree with adul. There is something about Armagedon that made me cry, especially when Harry had to say goodbye to his daughter and detonate the bomb.

a lot of the patriot moved me to tears; especially when mel gibson's character is riding off & the little girl runs after pleading with him--boy that was powerful! also the green mile--near the end at the execution was really sad.

I don't cry, but...

one more vote for armageddon.
and blow as well.

both movies, the father was forced to break a promise made to his daughter. maybe it's a coincidence, but that always catches me feeling all emotional inside... the ending for BLOW was pretty good. at first, you get all happy and then the daughter disappears and it's like instant sadness... almost broke into tears, but I barely held it in... 🙂

"Legends Of The Fall"

Two of three places in there get me EVERY time I watch it.

"Shawshank Redemption" is a GREAT movie / short story

How many people knew King wrote it?

I would cry if I had to watch Bridges of Madison County Too :frown:

If you want to tug the heart strings go rent Gallipoli. It stars a young Mel Gibson as an idealistic young Australian in WWI.

The futility of charging machine gun positions is well portrayed. It is a great movie

My Life with Michael Keaton. He's got cancer and he's making video's for his unborn son.

Man that one got to me...
