you should of seen Toro Toro Toro. made back in the 70's I think. it had TWO directors it had a japanese on and the american one. Japan wanted to make suer that the story was told correctly. it goes to show how truely Brutal Japan was.

A bunch of movies make me tear up, one of the few to do that multiple times is The Blue and the Gray. Stacy Keech really proved how great of an actor he is in that one. American History X pulls on the ole heart strings quite a bit too, particularly because of the reality that is portrayed in that movie. The Color Purple is another heart wrenching drama.

Field of Dreams and Deep Impact, for example. And yeah, Shawshank rocked. Tim Robbins IS an awesome actor.

I watched Brokedown Palace 3 times on HBO and the third time I just broke into tears. I wasn't crying at the movie, but the concept that it presents. That is all true, and there are hundreds of people sitting in foreign and American jails who did not do anything at all, but were framed. Ever heard of that Canadian-Vietnamese woman who got framed for smuggling drugs and she got the death sentence?

Same with me. My eyes watered at that Forrest Gump scene. This was probably the last movie I saw that affected me in this way. Well, actually, I did get a little teary eyed in &quot;Frequency&quot; but for some reason, I seem to be less affected emotionally by movies now -- I think I might be emotionally dead inside.

While I haven't actually cried from a movie, in the past I did get teary eyed from a lot of them. Here are some of them that I recall:

Supermain: The Movie. When Lois Lane died in his arms and Superman cried as he flew up into the sky to reverse time. Here was a man who was invulnerable to practically everything -- nothing can hurt him except he was like all men who could have his heart broken.

Star Trek: The Wrath of Khan. I got teary eyed when Spock died.

Ghost. Especially the scene with the penny. This was probably the movie that I came the closest to crying. I had so much tears it was actually flowing down my cheeks. Well, I guess that means I was actually crying instead of just being teary eyed! haha

a lot of the patriot moved me to tears; especially when mel gibson's character is riding off &amp; the little girl runs after pleading with him--boy that was powerful! also the green mile--near the end at the execution was really sad.

both movies, the father was forced to break a promise made to his daughter. maybe it's a coincidence, but that always catches me feeling all emotional inside... the ending for BLOW was pretty good. at first, you get all happy and then the daughter disappears and it's like instant sadness... almost broke into tears, but I barely held it in...

If you want to tug the heart strings go rent Gallipoli. It stars a young Mel Gibson as an idealistic young Australian in WWI.

The futility of charging machine gun positions is well portrayed. It is a great movie
