Just wondering.

<--- Uses Havoline 5W-30 w/ cheap @ss Wal-Mart filter in '92 Nissan Sentra w/ 164K 🙂

Whatever the Hendrick Honda guy puts in my car at the dealer service center...

car = 2002 Accord EX 4-cylinder

Exxon (mobile) 10W40 Dino oil in Motorcycle... next oil change Mobile1 10W40 full Synth. I use STP SMO-00 oil filter.

Mobile 5W50 Dino in the Focus.... MObile1 oil filter.

mobil 1 5w30...just switched from castrol gtx 5w30 to test it out 😛 Might be psychological but I think my valve train is a bit quieter...

On my 99 Saturn: Pennzoil 5w30 with a Saturn OEM filter. I let the dealer take care of maintenance.
On my mom's 85 Honda: Valvoline MaxLife 5w30 with a CarQuest branded Wix filter. Hey the car's old, gotta take care of it.
On my dad's 85 Lincoln: Valvoline MaxLife 10w30 with a CarQuest branded Wix filter. Hey the car's old, gotta take care of it.

20w50... car has 160k miles on it, and tends to burn oil sometimes.... i figure, hey its a dollar over, and it's worth it.

I know this is a repost, but it's been a while

Valvoline 5w20...cuz that's what Ford recommends (not necessarily Valvolin, but the weight)

For a daily driver that you don't run the crap out of any oil will do as they all meet manufacturer's specs. The oil filter is much more inportant as quality ranges greatly with FRAM being at or near the bottom of the pile. Don't scrimp on the filter but pick your oil anyway you choose.

Mobil1 synthetic...
because I used pennzoil before and my engine started sounding rough.
I started using mobil1 and everything is A-OK 🙂

Mobil 1 5W30 Synthetic since 4k miles on my '03 wrx.

Sadly, I actually used a fram filter for 2k miles because I couldn't find anything else. I'm back to the OEM Filter now though.

Edit: I tend to drive it pretty hard sometimes. Also with synthetic you can go much much longer without having to change the oil. That's important for a guy who does all his own changes, after a complete nightmare at a local jiffy lube. I swear I'll never use a place like that again... Doesn't everyone seem to have a horror story from a place like that?

I use 10W30 Mobil in my car and 15W50 Mobil1 in my Motorcycle. My customers get 10W30 Mobil unless they say other.

I NEVER use Castrol. Have seen to many problems of it caking up and sludging up the engine to bad. Did some research and found their polymers they use enlarge faster than other oils which cause them to break down faster, esp if you don't change your oil enough.

And a side note, NEVER use Fram oil filters.
