<< I've got a KDS Avitron 19" trinitron and I love it. .24 ag, max resolution of 1920x1440 at 60 Hz. I keep it at 1280x1024 at 100Hz and everything is just gorgeous. And the lines don't bother me at all.>
<I don't get it. Why do people get trinitron monitors and then just say they don't care about the lines? I saw a Sony trinitron monitor at my aunt's house and it sucked royally compared to the Optiquest's they had there (two of the same 17"s). Why not get a good non-trinitron monitor? What advantages do trinitron monitors have?

I don't care about them because I don't ever notice them. Unless you specifically look for them, they will only show up when you're displaying an empty MS Word page or other solid colours like that.
The perfectly flat screen is awesome. When I use non-flat monitors, it seems like I'm looking at a beach ball. Trinitrons also have the advantage of providing much more vivid colours than standard CRTs, but you do get a deeper black on regular CRTs than on the trinitrons.
