This Phidippus audax I caught some months ago is cooler than your spider.

And I didn't kill it either, I let it go after I was done taking photos. Too cool for you!

The OP is behaving like a little girl. Asking about what kind of spider he already killed...

Thanks.

Yeah, spiders in the south suck. I get the house sprayed around the outside every other month for them. I have yet to see a single spider around my house since I have been having it sprayed.

So you killed it already... do you need the ID for some kind of serial killer trophy mentality? Or justification? Are you a girl?

Curiosity, you toolshed.

edit: And for as much of a tool as you're being, the spider looks nothing like a wolf spider from the pictures online.

Jeez... Why do girls have to be so sensitive about these things? You killed it. It can't hurt you anymore.

Its cousins... well that's another matter. They know where you live.

Yes spiders can be creepy. However of all the dangerous animals on earth we probably fear them with the least reason. There are very few really dangerous species in the world. I think in all of North America the only one you'd likely come across would be the black widow and it's fairly easy to identify. Funny thing is the larger the spider the less likely it's going to be dangerous really. Know those freaky big tarantulas? Most of their bites aren't much worse than a few bee stings.

EDIT: And wikiying black widows shows that even they aren't as dangerous as you might think for the most part.

The Brown Recluse is in NA, and in my area more common than the Black Widow. It won't kill you, but it'll mess you up pretty bad. I knew a guy that got bit by one, and it left a depression in his leg that 2"x5"x1/4". Nasty stuff....

Grow a set and quote where I said I was worried it was going to hurt me.You can't, huh? that's because I just asked what it was. now quit trolling, toolshed.
