what kind of snob are you?

rudeguy

as in...you would rather go without something than use an inferior type?

For me its coffee and computers. A computer doesn't have to be the latest and greatest but I can't stand waiting for webpages to load or for programs to open. I'll go without using one if it is slow. And coffee....well since I got into coffee, I can't stand the cheap stuff. I don't even drink coffee at work anymore since it tastes like brewed cardboard.

So.....what kind of snob are you?

I have issues against traveling short distances (up to 5-10 miles) where I prefer to walk, run or bike instead. People always ask me "what's wrong with you?" but I just say I prefer to stick to it this way.

Cola. I love my Coke. I'll drink store brand occasionally but sometimes it's just too sickly sweet. Tastes nasty.

I can't really think of anything TBH. I love cameras and own some decent equipment but I started with a lowly P&S and encourage others to do the same. I love great coffee but also drink instant if that's all that's available. I'm a huge fan of rare steak but don't begrudge others for eating well done. I enjoy a top quality beer but will happily get shitfaced on a $10/dozen box.

I'm not so picky, but there's limited examples. Beer for instance. I'll drink some cheap beer if it's offered to me, but light beer's out. I'd rather have water.

How about videya gamez? I think I was particularly snobbish in RPG's in the past, as well as some other people. See inferior items or loot drop, I don't touch it or it goes in some kind of trash.

They say how you behave while playing in a video game is a likely example of your true face (or nature).

Video game accessories (controllers, mem cards, etc.) - only because off-brands can be a gamble.

Shoes. Growing up I remember wearing payless shoes - not exactly comfortable, and I suppose I can say the same about certain clothing brands sold in department stores - but then again I'm thinking in terms of "avoid brand 'X'" due to bad experience, not so much "I'm only going to buy brand 'y' because it's superior" - and I think that makes a difference of being a "snob".

Outside of that, I tend to look up most brands/their reviews before purchasing (if it's a planned purchase costing over . . . say $50) anyways.

Food mostly. For example, store brand cheese is crap. I'll go to the cheese store and drop $40 on some motherfucking delicious cheese. Bread too. Wonder Bread is not edible.

But upon reflection, I'm snooty in almost all ways. It's just because I'm better than you, though. If you were superior you'd be snotty too.

I'm not a snob in the sense that I adore and consume only good things, but I am a snob in the sense that I hate bad things. Making pasta or cooking with ordinary store-brand mozarella is perfectly fine, but there is never any reason for eating American Cheese, Cheeze Whiz, Kraft Dinner or any shit like that. Non-dijon mustard and non-balkan (probiotic) yoghurt are another two examples.

great...now I'm hungry for good cheese and yummy mustard. The grocery store by me has a HUGE gourmet cheese selection and a massive mustard selection. Its the one thing I like about this stupid richy area.

Lion Red? Kiwi Lager?

Dont like budget shampoo/conditioner - I will use it if I absolutely have to, but otherwise Hell no.

I'm sure there are many more but I cannot think of any.

As for techy stuff, shoes, clothes - whatever I can afford is what I get, so its generally really really cheap.

Perfect description of me. My light beer comment alluded to it, but you said it perfectly. I don't like ersatz anything. Real products all the way. Lite, Vinyl, pasteurized process cheez goo, and saccharin can all go to hell.
