cost of living is up 4.4% for the year, if your raise is less than that, you are actually getting a paycut!

I get a Cost of Living Allowance(COLA) on top of any raises, during most contract negotiations they roll COLA into our base wage. This last time we didn't roll the COLA and our raises were made into a lump sum payment so that didn't get into our base wages either. This works against you big time because you start from the same place you started from on the next contract 4 years later and your base wages figure into your retirement. We definitely gave concessions in this last contract when you also consider we installed a two tier wage system for new hires.

Oh Well, I still make enough money.

I'll be getting a raise on my one-year aniversary in November. no clue how much the raise will be, but everyone I've talked to says that they're pretty generous with raises. 10-15% would be pretty sweet... not enough for me to move into a nicer apartment, but I'd be able to save more and start putting money into my 401K.

Maybe 4%. I'll have been working in this hellhole for two years come December, and I'm gettting out if I don't get a decent raise.

Odds of me getting a decent raise = 0.001%

I don't know why I bust my butt everyday....most of my coworkers don't....:|

Raises!?!? Surely you'll be talking about other imaginary things like leprechauns, fairies and lowering-gas-prices next

12% this year but I make so little its not even that much :(... oh well going to try to make a move to a better paying job next mounth. I work in goverment tv and am grossly underpaid but wasn't much else avail when I got out of school so I took it, but next week a neighboring city is comming to see our channel becaue thier starting thier own soon, and I think I'm going to try to show off what i can do and try to impress them. then send them a cover letter letting them know i'm interested in position getting thier channel up and running. (although I think my boss is going to try the same thing from the way he's been talking, so if that happens I could menouver myself into his position which would be ablout a 120% raise for me :D

3 months ago I got a 22% raise. Today, I got another 11% raise on top of that and I'm due my annual review which should be another 3.5% raise on top of both of those. I'm estatic!!!!! This was due to my job being reclassified and my pay grade raised.

At the moment I make $320 for 25 hours of work; in a month I should receive a raise to $340, in another month $360, etc. In winter I should be able to do a bit more work, maybe $450 a week; it keeps going up from there. Unfortunately this is before taxes. :(
