What kind of raises have you been getting? (Please include job discription)

In feb I got a 3% raise. I'd been working as a software consultant with the company for about 6 months. I got a -50% raise last week and 4 weeks to find another job if they can't land some projects real soon.

f**k I wish I could get out of this god-damned industry, but there is nothing else I can do.

i got a raise from 14/hr then 16, then 20, then i got laid off... nice huh? so now i'm looking for a new job and hopefully it'll pay me at least 18-20/hr

I just got a 3.6% raise. My boss thought he was being very generous because the company standard this year was 2.5%

11% the first year..........he blew off my yearly review the second year and told me that we will do both of them this August. No one in my company has heard of this before. If I dont get at least 10% with retroactive back pay for the year, he will get a two day notice, "I quit, today." The job market has been tough, so our employer has treated us like sh!t. It will open up pretty soon and they will pay for it then. They cant afford to give raises this year, but all of the officers just got there 2002 suburbans and Denali's. Nice.

Systems Administrator at a medium size company. What are you guys doing for work where you are getting 250 to 500 a week raises? Can you get me in?

Like you said the job market is tough and employers can treat you like dirt - just don't leave before you have another job lined up.
