Me, I have no printer right now. I'm looking for a good printer at a decent price. Preferrably a HP printer.

Let me know what type of printer, what model number, and how good it is, thanks!

I got the HP 842c. Great colour quality, B&W isn't as fast as some of the other models, but I ain't complaining. It's a cheap, quality solution for someone who doesn't do a lot of heavy printing (both b&w and colour).

What's gonna be your main use for the printer?

HP DeskJet 952C. It rocks, and can be had for around $200. Also has a nice optional attachment that does two sided printing, if you want.

I have the HP PhotoSmart P1000 and this printer is great at producing color images! It prints surprisingly fast for an inkjet and also is very quiet. It even allows you to print photographs directly from the printer from a digial camera without having your computer on.

I'd recommend this printer to anybody! Especially if you have a digital camera and want beautiful color photographs.

Samsung ML-4500 .....$199 Laser printer 800X600 8ppm (even though I paid full price, but I feel it worth every penny)

Lexmark Z52..........$99 2400X1200 (it utilized the 4.3Meg Pixel camera I have, great print quality, even on cheapo paper)

I have an Epson Color Stylus 500 that i bought a few years back. It sucks!! It doesn't print color anymore and it lags when I try to print webpages or anthing that isn't a text file. I'm probably going to go with Lexmark or HP the next time. Anybody got any suggestions?

I have the Epson Stylus 760 which I got on a Hot Deal. I like it because it can use the generic ink which is dirt cheap. So far, I've had no issues with it.

sundog...

about the HP 6P,
there was a sale about 1 and 1/2 years ago in Toronto where they were selling it for $350 USD.
needless to say, it sold out in 10 minutes.

anyway, I've got a Cannon BJC-4000 from I think 7 years ago. I got it for $400 when it first came out! it's sitting in my room now... and it's BROKEN!

Canon BJC-6000

BJC stand for Blow Job Canon because this piece of crap stopped using it's color cartridges a week ago. It's like all the colors just stopped responding and only black comes out of the printer. Ive changed the cartridges and stuff but maybe I need to replace the thing that holds all the cartridges? Someone wanna help?

Whatever printer is available in the campus computer labs. Usually high quality HP lasers.

I have an old Canon BJC-210 but it needs a new cartridge and I can't bring myself to spend the money to buy a new one.
