What kind of mask are you wearing?

I recently got a Toronto Maple Leafs cloth mask. It's really easy to breathe in since it lets everything in.

These masks really are soft and comfortable. The fit around the nose is good enough to minimize glass fogging. The ear loops are adjustable. There is a water resistant membrane and an inside pocket for a disposable filter.

I did try several types from different companies.

1. Disposable blue masks from CVS. Not bad but I don't like to throw away stuffs after one use.
2. Disposable white round cups from Harbor Freight. Same as #1.
3. Reusable black masks from Target. I like these the most because they fit my face almost perfect and they have pockets so you can insert filters if you choose to do so. The only thing I did not like about them is the elastic straps to the ears. Wish those straps are not elastic so they won't wear down sooner or later.
4. Reusable multi colors masks from Sam's. They are good but no pockets to insert filters. Same as #3 about elastic straps.

i wear my n99 RZ mask when i actually need a dust mask, mowing lawn, wood working, etc. keeps my allergies at bay.

Report came out yesterday that gaiter style masks least effective. I found this funny because the wife just bought some off of Amazon and then I got to show her the article. She just read it, rolled her eyes and looked at me like I made it all up.

I wish I had.

Not only least effective, possibly worse than no mask at all.

Some neck gaiters may be worse than not wearing a mask at all, study shows

We’ve got a couple of Cambridge Masks coming. They come with covers to disable the valves. They’re tested to but not officially rated for N99.

That's good to know. The way I figure it is once the no valve thing gets more widespread, the CDC released new guidance advising against them, I'm guessing they won't care if you tell them it's disabled. Probably won't be enforced much besides medical establishments, airlines and office buildings, but I figure it's good to have a mask without any visible valves as well.

The mee air lite mask and filters took one week to get from new Zealand to new Jersey. Very comfy. Ear loops are adjustable and at the largest setting it just fits my big noggin. Two thumbs up

Best I've used:

3M N95's. I bought them for wildfire smoke in N. California way before the pandemic. I was working on my garage, trying to finish before the rains 3 years ago, needed masks to survive. I got them cheap off Ebay. I had bought some non-3M N95s locally that sucked. One 3M order off ebay had vents, and I wear them skating the streets daily. The other set are 3M 9210, which have no vent, so are better for the pandemic. Both 3M sets fit perfectly when I am careful how I put them on. They also work best when I'm clean shaven, and if I'm concerned about infection I will shave before going out with one. I gave away more than a dozen 3M N95s but now I'm holding onto them.
