What kind of mask are you wearing?

I have been wearing the blue and white masks that lots of people wear. I would like to get something that is more comfortable. I saw Dave Roberts of the Dodgers wearing one that looks good and would like to try. I am not sure where to buy one like this.

Since this will go on for awhile I would like to buy something good. What mask are you wearing and how do you like it?

I have two masks on the way which were rated tops. The first one is the Scandinavian based Airinum https://www.airinum.com/products/urban-air-mask-2-0-classic?variant=13654585639017 - but you have to get on a waitlist. I ordered mine in May and it's supposed to ship this month. It does have two valves on it, which at the time I didn't know would release some of your breath into the air, potentially putting others at risk. However on their FAQ page it does say it's easy to mod and cover the valves with tape, snap the covers back into place, and voila you are good to go. It's super highly rated across the globe: https://support.airinum.com/support...exhalation-valves-ineffective-during-covid19-

So in the meantime I wanted a mask without valves as well. Some places won't let you in if they see a valve on your mask, like doctor's offices around here. Found this one from New Zealand that's also very highly rated and looks super comfy: https://www.meoair.com/product/meo-lite/

I ordered mine last week and it shipped the next day, along with some spare filters. So that's a more immediate solution.

I did a lot of googling on the best higher end reusable masks and most had valves, like the British pollution solution aka Cambridge masks: https://cambridgemask.com/#:~:text=...Solution&text=3 as well as bacteria,5 and PM0.

This mask from Canada is also rated tops, and has no valve, but it looks like you are putting a jock cup on your face to me https://o2canada.com/products/o2-curve-1-2

I ordered some cloth masks from StringKing when this whole thing was kicking off. NC was one of the first states to mandate wearing them (and still are), so I at least wanted something comfortable (and washable).

They were a little pricey, but they are made in the U.S., and helps keep the company going since they aren't selling much of their usual sport gear now.

We’ve got a couple of Cambridge Masks coming. They come with covers to disable the valves. They’re tested to but not officially rated for N99.

I have a couple from a local shop that I got in March and then I also have a set of 5 from Hanes.com. I have some KN 95s from Aliexpress but I don't wear them regularly. Cloth mask is enough.

Nowadays, a normal disposable mask (bought in bulk), however when things were a bit worse and I had to travel by public transport, i converted my scuba mask similar to this:
Got some weird looks, but s**w them, i prefer to be nice and save, especially as I sometimes have to help my 96 year old Grandmother.

Cloth masks made by a neighbor's adult daughter. She was making them for donations -- gave her $100 for 10. Gets the job done -- we ain't really leaving the house much.

Thanks for the info. We have to wear them at work when we are out on the shop floor so I need to wear them a couple hours a day. I am going to try some from Hanes and Stringking.

Report came out yesterday that gaiter style masks least effective. I found this funny because the wife just bought some off of Amazon and then I got to show her the article. She just read it, rolled her eyes and looked at me like I made it all up.

I wish I had.
