What kind of hair product should I use??

OK, I have thick hair, and I don't want it to look shiny or stiff like it does with gel. I want it to stay how I put it, but without the product really being visible. Would I use forming creme, styling creme, or something else? I've tried pomade and that makes my hair look too stiff, and gel is just awful looking. I want something that holds my hair in place decently, and is virtually invisible.

I have thick curly hair and I use Redken styling stuff thats like a white creme with an almost waxy consistency. Forgot what its called, but you can usually open them in the store and look at them. It keeps your hair in place and makes it look natural (not crusty).

I used to use a leave-in conditioner by Bumble and Bumble that did what it sounds like you want.

Who does your hair now? Ask them.

A good stylist will probably be a better source of hair advice than a bunch of random nerds.

Seriously though I used this in the past and it worked very well. Should do what you need.

Yeah use Wax, it's great. Although you're going to have wash it out at night, otherwise you wake up a waxy mess.

-American Crew Fiber ($15)
-Look on eBay for Gatsby Moving Rubber. It's this stuff made in Japan that is easier to work with than Fiber, but probably worse for your hair. (~$10)
-Garnier Fructis Surf Cream is cheap (about $3) and might do the trick

thanks! I'll look at those.

as for wax: It makes your hair look too stiff, and is very obvious in appearance. I want something that you can't even tell is in there.

Wal-Mart Generic Baby Shampoo. It will clean your hair and if you are in a hurry and get it in your eyes it will not sting. It's $1.29 for a bottle. I think shampoo advertising is 99% hype.

If that doesn't help the designer hair guy markets Patron Tequila. Try that. Like I said 99% hype.
