Most Wanted and Carbon did not support widescreen. My framerates on a 8800GTS 320MB with Carbon were absolutely abysmal, even with low quality settings. And from what I've heard about ProStreet, it might be even more poorly coded.
On a sidenote, GRID is supposedly similar to ProStreet, but much better. I've only played the demoes for both. Neither of them really appealed to me much (no cop chases, no ramming everything without fear of damage), but I have to say that GRID did look and feel quite a bit more polished. Again, the more realistic, less arcade style gameplay isn't really my thing, but I'd have to recommend GRID over ProStreet if I had to choose.

Yeah, I'm not sure why, but my old G80 just didn't seem to like Carbon much. It did great with Most Wanted -- smooth as butter, and my 4870 does great with Carbon. Not sure if the G80 just didn't have enough VRAM or what. Oh well.
Let me know what you think of ProStreet. I might reinstall both demos to give them a second chance.
I meant that Most Wanted and Carbon didn't support widescreen.Originally posted by: User5
Hmm, i guess im the only one that only used the NFS games to customize all the cars
Also, to whoever said these games dont run in widescreen.. http://www.widescreengamingfor...m/wiki/index.php/UniWS
Thanks, I just downloaded it, trying it right now. I remembered hearing about a widescreen hack for Carbon, but it involved a No-CD or ripped version -- nice to find a small, clean app that works with the full retail DVD version.Originally posted by: User5

I use the MW version of that little program too, as the game doesn't natively support 2048x1536 for some reason. (it's not the first such game I've seen though)
