Olympus Stylus 400 - ~$400+ with 256mb card

I'm very happy with it although sometimes the pics get blurry very easily if the subjects are moving much.:frown:

oh, my dad got a Konica Minolta DiMage something, its okay, I think its too slow though compare to my sister's Optio. (slow startup 'boot time,' flash reloading time, and most annoying thing is the no resolutions in between 640x480 and 1280xwhatever; this makes the pics taken either too large or too small and have to crop them everytime I upload them to the PC)

Canon Digital Rebel. I paid $914 for the kit last October but also spent a lot more for some additional lenses.

The camera was definately worth the investment. :)

Panasonic DMC-LC33.

Paid $190.

Yes it is worth it. It is built well, has enough features, the images are wonderful (for the money), detail is great. It is mass storage compatible, and small enough to carry around. I like SD memory too.

Olympus D520. Paid about $135.00 for it and I'm very pleased with it. I just bought it for snapshots, which it does very well. I still have two Canon AE1 35 mm with a nice assortment of lenses when I want to shoot something seriously.

I don't have one either... that's why I'm asking people to find out what some popular ones are.

you might be biased towards canon here... at least.. that's what I have seemed to find. then again, that might also be because they are pretty damn good in general :)

Couple of Dimage 7s which are pretty good, especially now that I have batteries for them that they like. (Seems like some nimh batteries will only last for about four pictures on those cameras.) Used to have a Nikon 990 which I never really had good luck with; it worked, but I was always unsatisfied with the results. Still have a few Kodak DC290, DC265, and DC 260 cameras because they support a script language that lets me preprogram them and then set them in a corner to run on automatic.

Minolta DiMage F100 4pm. 3x optical zoom.

Nice camera but a bit slow to shoot with if you want fast shoot to shoot time.
