Kodak DX4900

Got it for about $150 during a Staples deal.

I don't know how good a camera it is, but it was a great improvement over my JamCam!

A silver shiny one. Couple of C-notes. Well worth it.

My first digicam was the Canon A40, bought about 2 years ago... when most of this forum did too :) ... but I got the best deal ($140 net).

I just upgraded last week to the Canon S1 IS -- $409 at buydig.com. It's very nice.

Kodak DC3400 - I think it was about $350 when it was new, but that was quite a few years ago. It's probably worth about $150 now.

Current camera is a Fuji S5000 that I just got about a week ago. I've really only used point & shoot cameras before so I am still learning how to use the manual controls but I like it a lot so far. Some people complain about the noise of this camera but I only see it as a problem if you view the images at full res or make huge prints from them, otherwise the pics look great.
The feature set is excellent for the price I paid ($290) - I especially like the AF-assist lamp (focuses in complete darkness) and the big 10x zoom.

Olympus C-3020... almost 3 years ago I bought it refurbished for $300, bought another $50 worth of accessories. It's been great... it has helped me sell lots of things on eBay :D

HP 215 for like $125. It's a mediocre camera, but it does what I want it to. Would like a newer one though.

I bought an Olympus E10 several years ago when it first came out. Seems like it cost ~$2000ish. It was and still is a great camera. It's wha I learned with, and I still have it. It's built very well, and still takes great photos. I'd say it was worth it.

Then when Canon's EOS D60 came out I got one for ~$2200. This is the camera I use today. It's been through all kinds of hell and back, taken tens of thousands of photos, and taken me to places I never dreamed of. It was worth it then, and it's worth it now.

Kodak DX6490. Just got it over the weekend so haven't used it yet. But from everything I've read on it, it's an insanely great camera with the 10x zoom and a big fat 2.2" LCD. Paied $360 ($399 - 10%).

So far this year:

1st was Panasonic FZ-10k. Love this camera, but shady quality control. 1st camera was just so sluggish zooming, exchanged it. Second one worked great for about 2 weeks then just straight up died, so got a refund.

Then it was up to Canon S1 IS and Olympus C-765. Ended up getting the Olympus after some testing.

Kodak DX3500-$199 in 2001

It's good for what it is.

I had a Konica Minolta DiMageZ2 which rocked ($449 last month), but I had to return it.
