No, the nearest track to me doesn't open until April, so hopefully this spring I'll get a chance to get up there. I am getting it dyno'd on the 29th, so I could post that for those interested.

1985 S-10 Blazer. The funny thing is that it's also got a Tahoe package. So it's three Chevy vehicles rolled into one :p S-10 Blazer Tahoe. :D

Does that mean 3 times the repair issues? :)

I've done a lot of work to it, yes. But that's typical wear and tear. When I got it back in July, it had 100,000 miles on it - which isn't bad for a car that's almost 20 years old. I took the drivetrain from another vehicle similar to it ('85 S-10) and frankensteined the good parts. Switched blocks out, switched headers, exhaust manifolds, carb, oil pan + oil pump, distributor, etc. All that good stuff. The only thing is that the original heater core sprung a leak and the carb that is on there now, being better than the original, needs to be replaced or rebuilt. That and now the starter is starting to wear out. Those two key items + heater core are going to cost a little bit to replace, but after they're replaced this baby should be able to go for quite a while. The KBB private sale price for it is $3,000.

:)

Cool! A Sorento. If you don't mind me asking, what did end up paying for it? I think they are great looking cars and offer excellent equipment for the $$.

Btw, if anyone knows of some good tires in the 285/60R16-295/65R16-315/55R16 range (16x8 rims) let me know. Currently I have a pair of 285/60R16 Goodyear Eagle GTIIs and I still want more traction. (looking to get 295/65R16's on the rear next time)

Edit:
My ride.

That is REALLY nice!!
how do you like the 4.7? I wanna test drive a 4.7 Dakota.

The 4.7+auto is okay, but the 4.7+manual is a blast to drive. It's got a good balence of torque and power that lets you hang out at any RPM from 1000 to 5500 (idle is about 700, redline at 6000). Just make DAMNED sure the one you get has a limited slip differential. The guys who miss that option really miss it.

Wow! Nice one. How's the accelleration? I've read some reviews that it was a bit of a dog.

I have no problem with it, but I have never floored it. At highway speeds lest say 75 mph you will have no problem passing someone.

I set the cruise at 80mph and it has no problems even on long steep hills.

I dont under stand what their talking about.

I drove just about everything under $30k and it was an easy choice for me.

I think it does very well for a 4000lbs car with 192hp

99 Subaru Impreza Outback with 80k miles. It's registered in Utah and I go to school In Pennsylvania so that contributes to it. Have to make a round trip two or three times a year.
