This or the nearest raptor center, if there is one nearby.

EDIT: Also, you should probably feed it at some point since there's a long weekend coming up. If all the zoos and raptor centers are closed until Monday, you should probably go out and get some meat for it. Birds tend to have fast metabolisms and need to eat a lot, especially babies.

There's no zoo in this town so that also is not an option.
The one I called yesterday was regular animal control center and the one I called today is wildlife animal control center. They told me that they be here in 30 min. but it's been a bit more than an hour. I'm going to call the place again if they don't show up soon. At the same time, I think I should be prepared for this bird's overnight stay in my place.
The problem is....I have no clue what to do. What kind of food should I get? How should I feed him water? What else should I know?

Well then, at least you can feed it for a week or two.

Wasn't there a movie like this? Something like a guy is stalking a girl, she calls the cops on him but he comes back and feigns an injury. She takes him in and then he eats her face off? I think that's what happens...

Anyway, good luck with that stal... hawk.

You don't need to worry about food for an overnight stay. However, you should give it some water.

Do you have any leather gloves? I would gently check for broken bones by extending both wings and flexing it's legs a bit. If it has a broken foot or wing, you should wrap it up in a towel to immobilize it and keep it warm.

Most birds like being able to see, so you should give it some light. However, I think birds of prey are different in that if they can't see what is going on, it will calm them down. If that seems to be the case, keep it in a pretty dark place.

If you don't feel comfortable checking for broken bones, don't do it. Just try and make it as comfortable as possible. Do you have any syringes around? If you are able to wrap it in a towel, forcing a few drops into its mouth every once in a while would be a good idea.

<--- used to care for baby birds extensively, although never a bird of prey.

Edit: Watch it closely. You may have to immobilize it in a towel even if it doesn't seem very hurt if it freaks out too much.

Oh, and keep your cats away from it - even if its impossible for them to get to it, it doesn't need the stress.

Edit2: If you have to end up keeping it over the weekend, I see no harm in trying to feed it some hot dog pieces or something of that nature. If it eats and drinks, that is a very good sign.

The hotdog sounds like a good idea. Also sounds like that poster knew what they were talking about. As a juvenile, the falcon might still be fed by mom instead of hunting its own prey, and a carcass or some heavey red meats might be difficult for it to digest without mom's gullet doing some of the digestion prior to feeding the young hawk.

I'm curious as to how/why it came back... they captured it and took it away from your house? If they did anything other than just walk down the street or next door and release the guy, it returning to you would be pretty remarkable.

By the way, nice camera work... those pictures aren't bad for being behind a window.

I called the animal control center again and they gave me a phone # to a different center.
I called them up and they told me to capture the bird by myself!
I tried but he ran. He hid under a car which is parked on the side of road. Being afraid that he might run off to the road, I backed off and started walking toward home. That's when I heard my girlfriend scream. I looked back and the bird was in the middle of the road laying down while cars are going over him. I knew he was hit but wasn't sure how bad the situation was. He didn't look flat; that's good, I thought.
My girlfriend stopped the traffic by running toward cars. At that time, I was afraid both of the bird and my girlfriend would get hit. Luckly, the traffic stopped and we were able to pick him up. We came back home put the bird in a box, called the center, and explained the situation. After that, I examined the bird and it looks perfectly fine except his far right toe; I see a tiny bit of blood and it looks like one toenail is kind of fallen off. That's damn good considering how he was in the middle of the road not to mention all those cars that went over him.

On the bottom of the box.

The visible leg doesn't look very good, I would be worried about it. Does it use it, or does it just remain stationary with its talons curled up like that? :(

Hopefully you can get it into a professional's hands soon...

If you can't get animal control to come out, you can always offload the problem to your local police department. I've heard of cases where they've helped captured animals before. I definitely wouldn't try catching that thing on my own. It it turns out to be a baby bald eagle or something else that's protected, I'd much rather leave it to the pros.

Answer to some of the questions:

Q: Wheres the other foot in that pic ??
A: The other foot was under the body; in other words, it was "on the bottom of the box" as Eli said.

Q:The visible leg doesn't look very good, I would be worried about it. Does it use it, or does it just remain stationary with its talons curled up like that?

How's its foot? Looks a bit damaged in that pic.

A: Both feet seemed to be in good shape. When I tried to grab him to put him in another box, he grabbed my finger quite strongly. It was so strong that it hurt a bit.

The bird got picked up a while after my last reply. The animal control center lady told me that he's in good shape. I'll call the center some days later to see how he's doing.
I really hope he's okay. Damn, come to think of it, I'm so glad he didn't die there on the road. That would've made me feel so guilty.

Good to hear. Such a cute little guy. :)

I'm surprised he didn't draw blood when he bit you. That's why I suggested the leather gloves. ;)
