Judging by youtube comments a shoe works well :D but what in nature kills these things? Theres videos on youtube of them mauling a snake/tarantua/scorpion/mouse/bat... i dont see any of a giant centipede being killed by anything.

It dosent say but i think the snake lost :/
My neighbours flip flop, and I'm not joking. I just caught one in a box 5 mins ago. Slid a thin book under, then a thick book, and took it outside. The neighbours came over took it out of my hands. They shook the shit out of it, put the box on the floor, uncovered the demon spawn and stamped on it with knee breaking force, the dude even slid his food around for good measure.

I was taking a piss out in the high desert of Arizona on the side of a trail and one of those fuckers came right at me.

Not cool at all. Imagine if he'd made it up my pant leg:eek:

Speaking of lions, did you know that there was this one tiger that killed like 400 people back in the day?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Champawat_Tiger

The Champawat Tiger - with 436 confirmed kills to its name (around the 19th century)

Wow .... even scarier then the true story behind "The Ghost and the Darkness" !!

so, did humans make giant centipedes extinct since 2011? or they still make footlong centipedes and we still trying to figure this out?

If we still trying to exterminate the suckers, I vote for experiment on giant spiders to make gianter spiders to kill the giant centipedes.

On-topic as some may recall I owned several giant centipedes AND spiders years ago.

The nastiest by far was my Vietnamese Giant 'pede. It was dark purple with bright orange legs, about 8 inches long and the thickness of a cigar.

It liked to hang out about 1/4 inch below the surface of the substrate then surface like a breaching whale and try to run up the tongs when doing tank-maintenance! (was fast as lightning too!)

It was the only critter I had that actually scared me! I ended up selling it locally after the 4th or 5th time it nearly nailed my hand.

i find it really weird when people have dangerous pets. I am totally aware that most dogs could eat your face if they wanted to, but there is demonstrable evidence of empathy between dogs and humans, so you *know* that a dog won't eat yo' face if you don't do things that would make it eat yo' face.
Spiders don't have that. Snakes don't have that. Idk why TF you would keep a tarantula or a poisonous snake, or anything else that can accidentally snap and kill you, even if they like you. Like, a cat can bite you on a whim, and then go back to cuddle. What if a f* cobra does that.

It's the same reason people specifically keep Pitbulls. I mean, it's not because they're cute, and there are many better security dogs.

yeah but if you rub a pitbull the wrong way you go to the hospital and you get stiches on your hand.
if you run a recluse spider the wrong way you die.

same and different.
