I have 3.

When I was about 12, I was playing around and a needle went all the way through my big toe.
While its not that severe, it quite screemish to look at.

When I was about 15, some guy from school was chasing me on my bike and I was heading toward a road intersection and didn't want to cross it without looking, so I tried to make a quick sharp turn. Well I slammed right into a stop sign. I had about 14 stiches on my forehead(still scar today) and 3 stiches right below my nose and above my lips. Kinda to figure how I cut myself in those 2 palces and my nose was still intach as my nose sits directly between the 2 cuts.

Pretty much injury free until 2 yrs ago when I broke my wrist snowboarding.(I still have a pic of it somewhere). The problem was I was too stubborn to admit it was broken. I kept snowboarding for another 2 days. And when I got back, I went back to work as usual for 2 weeks. When my wrist didn't get any better then, I finally went to see the doctor. It was healing all wrong so he had to re-break it...OUCH !!!! and had a cast for 5 horrible weeks.

Worst injury was riding my bike - 12 speed racing. I had the strap type of clips for my feet. We were just leavning a kid's birthday party... my wife was driving and I was going to bike home. Well, I got on my bike, strapped my feet in nice and snug, planning to show off my sprint speed. Unable to turn left because of oncoming traffic, I turned right and went about 2 blocks until it was clear to do a u-turn. I sprinted to show off. Right in front of the house where the birthday party was, my chain snapped. I was still standing and pumping with all my might... I was easily into the 30's at that point. My weight was thrown forward. I went over my handlebars. Did I mention my feet were attached to the pedals? After I passed the bike, it realized that it had to follow me and decided to pass me... Then me past the bike and bike past me, and again.

Witnesses said I did 3 cartwheels in front of them down the road, bouncing off the curb once and through a driveway. The child seat on my bike may have saved me from a broken neck or something - it was pile-driven into the ground at one point. Once I came to a stop, both sets of straps for my feet (and they're pretty strong) had snapped in half. I stood up to attempt to walk it off - my kneecap was perpendicular to my leg. (I made it about 4 steps before dropping to the ground) We suspect now that I may have had a small fracture on my shoulder, but from all the other injuries, that appeared least likely to be broken (and wasn't one of the dozen x-rays taken). Nonetheless, it bothered me for 5 or 6 months. Thank God I was wearing a helmet... my helmet was shattered.

I tell everyone that my brother pushed me :p

Not a year goes by, not a year, that I don't read about some escalator accident involving some b@stard kid
that could have been easily avoided had some parent--I don't care which one--but some parent conditioned him to fear and respect that escalator!

Oh--I shattered a bone in my hand during a fistfight. Then I re-broke it a month after I got the cast off--that time it was a "dislocated" (I guess you'd call it) fracture. Pretty gross, seeing my knuckle pushed halfway back into my hand.

What they need to do is make the edges soft not some kind of jagged metal razor sharp edges :p

I broke my hip mountain biking and was fixed with 4 screws. I rode my bike a week to the day after the wreck, to the doctors office to have the staples removed.

Pool related injury - was fixing my goggles and some dumbass hit me in the back of the head with a large, heavy ball of some kind (never found out what, exactly) and my head hit the pool cover clip, missed my temple by less than 1 cm, doctor said hitting in the temple probably would've killed me, but instead I was knocked unconscious.
Of course, being unconscious I almost drowned but my friend's sister saved me while everyone else freaked out - 26 stitches and no swimming that summer :(

Happened last year during the football season. Actually a pretty nasty string of injuries:

Preseason Week 0: messed up my ankle pretty badly, played with a brace the rest of the season. Most likely torn cartilege, never got it fixed up.
Regular Season Week 1: In my left knee I had a Grade 2 Tear of my MCL and meniscus. Slight tear of my ACL. Stupidly I was playing and starting within 2 weeks with a knee brace.
Post-season Week 11: During the Long Island Championship game, someones back went through my right knee. Borderline Grade 3 tear of my MCL, meniscus, and tear of my ACL. This occurred while I was wearing a hinged knee brace because I had partially torn my PCL 2 weeks earlier. I was back playing in the game within 20 minutes after the injury occured (very very dumb). After the game I could not bend my knee for the next 3 weeks, and my knee was completely black and blue. Opted to not have the surgery and still have some pain in the knee (happened approx 9 months ago).

Down the line I'll probably need one or both knees scoped.

Bent hip from our car being hit in the driver's side by a log truck doing 85.
Shattered foot from being in the air and falling on it. It crumpled like an accordion.
Multiple severe sun burns that took two months to heal.
10 other broken bones from various sporting accidents.
Hyper-extended knee from playing football. Passed out for 5 minutes.

Pick one.

Biggest injuries: Stress Fractured my wrist hitting someone... Chipping 50% of my front two teeth off (just missed the nerves) face planting on a brick patio (teeth took the blunt of the impact on the corner of a brick) after having too much to drink this past New Year...

Most painful: Stepping on a toothpick and having it go at least an inch into the ball of my foot... Was so painful to walk on... Yet no one would believe that it hurt... Fvckers...

ROFL. Sorry, can't stop laughing thinking about a kid running straight into a wall.

It reminds me of one of my stupider injuries. The gym in my high school has two main portions, the main gym (with bleachers folded in during phys ed), and the small gym, which is about 4 inches larger on each dimension than a basketball court (you see where this is going). I was playing basketball in phys ed in the small gym, and as I came around the top of the key, calling for the ball, I ran head first into the wall. When I came to, the whole class was huddled over me, with the coach slapping my face to wake me up. My best friends, of course, had tears running down their faces from laughing so hard.

Worst combination injury: Separated my shoulder playing football, then re-separated it crashing my cousin's motorcycle.

When I was a toddler, I got caught between a moving porch swing and the wall of the house. The swing would hit me, knock me down, then swing out of the way while I tried to stand up. Repeat several times. My nose got broken from that one.

Also when I was a toddler, I took my stroller down a flight of steps into our basement, onto a concrete floor. I got a nice concussion from that one (although I didn't know about it until about a year ago when my doctor xrayed my head and asked me about the huge crack in my skull).

A few years ago I had the misfortune to be standing under a falling piece of broken glass. It cut a nice chunk out of my left arm, although (sadly) it didn't scar much.

My mom & dad's house has old electric heaters installed in their walls (the type where you see the orange glowing wire). I was sitting in front of one, tried to stand up, lost my balance, and fell into the protective grille, which was nearly as hot as the glowing wire. I had a really cool Victorian-style grille pattern on my back for the longest time.

I've had various minor bones broken (fingers, toes, etc.) from sports and just generally being active.

My left knee was broken playing Hacky Sack of all things and I never got it operated on.

I screwed up my left shoulder trying to move a VERY heavy tool box by myself. Never got that operated on either,

My lower back has been bad for about 10 years (Mountain biking did that one)

My neck got messed up while I was in the service. (getting worked over by a few fellow Marines did THAT one) It's never been right since.

Can you tell us more about your Marines story?

Or have you posted about it already? If so, link?

- Cut my wrist with a pair of pruning shears when I was 5. Still have a small scar on the inside of my wrist.

- Somehow managed to rip a big patch of skin off my palm when I let go of the bars of the jungle gym I was playing on and jumped off.

- Smashed the middle finger of my right hand in a door when I was 8. Fingernail subsequently came off several days later.

- Fell on a sharp rock when I was 8. 6 stitches and a nice (rather faded by now) scar on my right shin

- Massive sunburn all over my legs from sitting in the sun for hours at an airshow when I was 11

- Slammed into a huge rock while going down a "natural waterslide" created by a small waterfall running over a smooth slanted rock face that ends up in a pool of water. First time down this slide, I hit the huge rock on the other side of the pool and tore a massive patch of skin off of the same shin I injured years ago.

- Was walking in my parent's kitchen at night and (I didn't realize it at the time) stepped on a tiny chip of tile. It stung briefly at the time, but I didn't see anything wrong with my foot, so I went on with my business. Several days later, I found a lump on my foot. After squeezing it, the aforementioned tile chip popped out.

- Almost lost my right foot to an infection after I got a raw spot on the back of my right foot from a brand new pair of Doc Martens. I didn't think it was anything to worry about until it started becoming painful just to put weight on that foot. Went to Urgent Care and they told me I was lucky I came when I did, otherwise gangrene could have set in. :Q

- Smacked my bare foot into a doorjamb while walking out of my bathroom. Didn't break anything but I limped for several days on swollen toes.

- Dropped a computer table on my bare right foot when I was 21. Nothing broken, amazingly enough, but the underside of my second toe that the table landed on was black and swollen for days.

- Smacked my thigh into the corner of the glass dining room table about a week ago. Still have a nice half-dollar sized bruise on my right thigh.
