Thanks to genetics and a long line of alcoholism I have never had a hangover. Downed damn near a fifth in one sitting and woke up 4 hours later feeling fine, just hungry. It makes it rather easy to travel that same road when you don't have to pay the piper, and I almost found myself in the same situation as my forefathers. Realized I was sinking into that cycle and stopped drinking, that was 15 years ago. Other than 1-2 drinks in a social setting, maybe 1-2 times a year, I don't drink at all.

Had a rough period in the 2nd half of last year and reverted to my old form. Spent @ 5 months pickling my brain/liver before I pulled myself out of the mess. Haven't had a drop in @ 3 months and don't plan on having any for quite some time.

I stuck to smoking the refer mostly, although of late I have given that up as well.

Depends on what I'm drinking.

Decent scotch - Probably as much as I want, I'll get tired before I drink too much.
Good beer - 5-6
Wine (of any quality above "bum") - Probably a bottle or so, but sometimes the next day is a surprise hangover.
Bud Light (and equivalents) - 8-10
Beast, Natty, Malt Liquor, Bum Wine - Quantity varies, but I'm planning to be hung over.

A few months ago when I was slowly killing myself I could easily put down 1L of Crown and wake up after a few hours with no problems. Having since giving up hard liquor and drinking only beer, I can probably do 10-12 real beers and be ok. Miller Lite, my typical beer, probably around 18-20 if not more. However, I really don't know because I limit myself to 8-10 max.

If it's beer, I can usually get away with 10-12 without being hungover the next day. Sometimes I have to stop at 7 or 8 because I know I will be feeling it in the morning.

lucky you. i don't eat many types of foods simply cause i know of what they're made of. to make my point, don't try and think of how many different types of chemicals there are in the various burgers that people eat.

well I know there are a couple compounds, molecules, and chemicals in them they help fulfill requirements to live. Good enough for me.

I'd say about 16 shots is enough that I might take some ibuprofen the next morning, if I forget to have a glass of water. It's been a looooong time since I drank any more than that. The only times I've ever had the puking-wish-you-were-dead hangover is when I had a blackout.

good for you to fighting the history of alcoholism. It's not in my family, thankfully. And I get hangovers of varying degrees, and I know tricks to help combat them, either beforehand or the next morning. electrolytes, it what my body craves those mornings. lots of water before I start too, but neither is for sure, just helps lower their intensity or get over them faster.

I'm not in high school anymore so I usually don't count. Besides, the beers that I drink are usually 10% ABV or higher stouts.

There doesn't seem to be a number. The night before my wedding I went out with some friends from college and drank more than I ever had before (a mix of beer and hard liquor and Domino's pizza), and I felt fine the next day. But I've had less to drink on other occasions and had a hangover.

Between 'The Jungle' and 'Crazy Makers' I can't imagine larger fast food burger scare tactics. But, I like what I like and everyone is gonna die anyway. No sense being miserable for 90 years instead of happy for 60.

I don't know, because I'd consider it a pretty stupid move on my part to even get close to my threshold. I enjoy my drink or two in moderation.

What's yours? ;)

I don't get hangovers, and yes, I drink.

If I mix beer and liquor then I'm pretty much gonna be feeling like crap the next day but if I drink just beer or just liquor then I'm usually fine

Reminds me of the old "Beer before wine, everything's fine; wine before beer, the end is near" adage.

As for how much, I'd have to agree with others' point that it depends on what you're drinking ... mass quantities of draft beer is probably one of the worst in that regard.

Me, if I down 6-8 "Long Islands" I'm gonna be feelin' pretty lousy the next day, but age is getting to be a factor in there as well for me.

Liquor before beer, you're in the clear. Beer before liquor, never been sicker.
