I've seen a number of threads on here that seem to draw predictable responses from a number of people, probably me included. It seems many issues are polarizing, and the side people take on those issues is determined by their political stance. For example, if there were threads about abortion, assisted suicide, and right to prayer in schools, the opinions of most white fundamentalist christians will follow their "accepted" platform.
So without fighting, what is your race, political stance, and where do you live? I think it would be a pretty cool idea to find out why people vote the way they do.
I'll go first
I stand kind of in the middle of the spectrum, I find both democrats and republicans a bit extreme in their ways. I'm a non-religious white guy from New Jersey. I cannot identify with most of what John Ashcroft believes in, I think he's a bit wacko. I also find many California laws a bit off the wall, they seem to be a bit extreme also, but to the left.
