Steak & Cheese omelet made with leftover prime rib, or ribeye, or NY strip. Hmmm... going camping this weekend; that just got put on the breakfast menu for Saturday.

edit: (with diced green peppers & onions)

British bacon:

British bacon is a bit like a combination of American and Canadian (though obviously Canadian bacon evolved from the British style and not the other way around). With British bacon, you take the loin but leave lots of lovely fat on it, especially the fat cap, and include the part where the loin attaches to the same cut American-style is made from: the belly. So a full rack of British bacon is the pork loin with plenty of pork belly attached to it: the loin section is the rasher (what [this glossary of British food terms] calls "a thin, floppy slice of fatty ham") and the belly is the streaky. Then you take your pick.

Too bad I can't find it anywhere near me 🙁

I eat american bacon instead. I only have sausage for breakfast if I make an omelet or am out and about and stop in at mcdonald's.

good bacon > good sausage

not so good sausage > not so good bacon

chorizo and canadian bacon can gtfo

I like chorizo, but I don't really consider it a breakfast meat. I usually only see it mixed up with rice or stuffing as a side dish at restaurants, or as an appetizer (grilled chorizo... eat the chorizo, use the break to sop up the oil)

canadian bacon... can't tell you the last time I saw it anywhere except on a pizza.

Great change of pace from meat:

Freshly made bagels, topped with a big slab of fresh cream cheese, covered with a healthy dose of fresh apple slices (preferably red delicious).

Breakfast of the Gods. It'll put you in a good mood until lunch.

I'm with you until the apples. I have a bagel every morning. But I will take my apples on the side.
