I think I get the joke. Looking at your avatar, are you a police officer? I'd imagine beating someone up thats a little more than 1/2 your weight and 8 inches shorter would require alot of explanation and paperwork.

Yeah, I'm a cop. No matter what the incident, if we so much as lay hands one someone (other than handcuffing), we have to write a report. From come-alongs to armbars to punches/kicks to OC Spray/ASP Baton to shooting them, we have to fill out a report.

Yeah, but I think that probably keeps you from going too far when it's not really necessary. And yet it wouldn't stop you from doing what's needed when it's needed. Besides, people trip, fall down, and run into walls all the time.

Yeah, it's definitely there for a purpose--same with all the paperwork we have to fill out. Miles of red tape, I tell ya. :(

Funny thing is, as big as you are, you consider yourself "small" in your family". Well, as small as I am, I'm taller than everyone in my immediate family (though they do weigh pounds a few more ;)).

Goodluck on your quest for motivation for a healthier lifestyle. My motivation (as of late) has been to impress some beautiful ladies, to help me get over my ex. But the ladies do not appear to motivate you any, so I really can't give any more helpful advice out. Best of luck to you :).
Well, don't get me wrong, I love the ladies, but I need to get my life organized first.

Uh huh... now I see why you were interested in the Navy.

j/k ;)

I understand, I should be the same way. I have school and a full time job, no time for the ladies, but I can't set my priorities straight and still looking anyway.

Imagine being a cop through the 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, and 60s. You could do whatever you wanted, and it was pretty unlikely that anyone would ever find out.

Yeah, but they didn't have all the kickass toys that we do. :D

They had Thompson submachineguns, service revolvers and handcuffs. And one of those three was getting the job done, no matter what.

Well, I've had enough bad relationships to value sitting out for a couple of innings.

Man, you don't have to be in shape to get a girlfriend. You just have to play the game, do the right steps, and you're in. You need to be in shape to hit it and quit it.

Now we have MP5 submachineguns, M4s, Remington 870s (with buckshot, slugs, & beanbag rounds), Glock 22 .40s, ASP batons, 10% OC Spray, Tear Gas, & hinged handcuffs. Not to mention we get trained in more modern defense tactics & various holds & whatnot.

Plus, I wouldn't want to work around guys that I couldn't trust to do the right thing.

I know, I was never in shape for any of those. ;)

Ever watch Third Watch, Brad?

Nope, never have. Pretty good?

Oh yeah, it's great. The parts about the cops are the best, but the other parts aren't bad. It seems so real, like all of it could really happen. They deal w/ 9\11 and the blackout and everything. It's a great show. They killed the hottest girl on there though, so you're out of luck in that dept.

I'll have to check it out sometime...even if the hot one is gone. What's her name? I could procure some pics online...ah the wonders of the 'net. :D

Here's a glamor shot from her personal website

Let me see if I can find a pic of her in her EMS gear, she was really cute.

Yowza...maybe I should look for an attractive paramedic to date. The last chick I went out with was planning to be a nurse and she's hot. :D

It was just a guess.

I'm going to make an appointment tomorrow. I'm going to appeal to the recruiter's second strongest loyalty after country.

Service.

I'm going to tell him how the AF dropped the ball and that I know the Navy won't let me down. ;)
