The weather has been great in my area for the last few days, so I feel like grilling. I am out of ideas on how to cook steaks so I thought I'd ask you guys. What are some of your favorite steak recipes?

Start with a perfectly cut Ribeye. Charcoal grille it till just a little pink shows in the center. Put it on a plate and eat it.

I know its boring but you asked for the favorite.:)

my favorite is a 2-3 inch thick porterhouse, salted and peppered, grilled over a high heat until medium rare. served with grilled asperagus, zuchinni, and sauted mushrooms. butter and bread on the side.

oh, and the more marbled the better. :D

Cow + fire + nice bottle of Cabernet = happy Fausto:)

About the only thing I'll do is rub the steak with fresh garlic and a little salt & pepper before tossing it on the grill. If I'm feeling particulary sassy I'll make a red wine reduction sauce with fresh wild mushrooms and pearl onions to go with it, but this is rare as reductions are a PITA.

take the steak out of the packaging. Lay in a drying rack for day to cure a bit. Then, poke some hole in your thick steak, and insert some crushed gloves of garlic. then in rub some olive oil over the steak, then rub hawaiian rock salt (or kosher salt) and cracked pepper on the steak.
Sear the steak over high heat in a thick skillet. then run it under the broiler for a few a little bit.
Slap the steak on a plate, and there you go.
You can roast the garlic first, if you want and/or grill it over an open fire also, that's nice, too...

If you like your steak to look at you while you're eating it. ;)

Fausto, are you sure you're not gay? Between the cooking and the gardening I'm beginning to wonder. ;)

some coarse black pepper, grilled to medium rare with some shiner bock poured on it during cooking, then sprinkled with a little coarse salt before serving.

I like to smother mine with pepper and a mixture of soysauce, oyster sauce, and crushed garlic. I'll then grill it until medium and eat with with some A1.

Hehe....somebody better break the news to my wife. She was starting to wonder....what with all the Elton John memorabilia piling up around the house.;)

Actually, I've just kinda become the household jack of all trades since we bought our house. The yard had been utterly ignored, and my wife has the black thumbs of death when it comes to plants so I just kinda figured things out as I went along.

As for the cooking thing; I just love to eat good food. What could be better than to make your own great food rather than pay someone a 10x markup for the same stuff? Laugh all you want, but you'll shut up once you've had my beef burgundy.:D

You can get a good look at T-Bone by sticking your head up a bull's a@@ but wouldn't you rather take your bucthers word for it.
