I cannot understand why people think he is Islamic. Several members of my family spout this nonsense. This might be a broad generalization, but his stated social views are way different from my Muslim friends.

I was reading an article about Beck and it mentioned "FEMA camps". I am not sure what that refers to but is it an Anti-Obama outrage?

He was on camera doing some public appearance thing and was ordering lunch at some 'typical' home town type restaurant and asked for dijon mustard (or something similar) and a few people on TV made a joke out of it and then it blew up into this big non-event.

Especially since they weren't really serious when they went after Obama for his choice of mustard, they were actually making a joke about how uptight some people are about Obama.

It's almost as bad as when you went off on the deep end about him taking his wife to new york for a weekend to see a show and dinner.

Pretty funny!

The the best one is Obamacare.

So many to choose from. I'll have to go with birthers though. Just for the comedic value.

The most memorable one for me was the date in New York. That was my favorite until the fishing thing popped up. That's just some classic tin-foil hat stuff there. It'll be pretty hard to beat, but I'm sure the loony-right will keep trying.

It's pretty apparent to me that the guy is a citizen, even though someone here posted some very interesting things about traveling on another country's passport. (Not sure how it can be right since some people hold dual citizenship, but it was interesting.)

Citizenship laws, and their enforcement, have changed over time.

Not too long ago acquiring another country's citizenship (after already havng US citizenship) was was treated as an automatic renounciation of US citizenship.

The hitlerisms are the worst in my book. Painting him a socialist (wildly inaccurate IMO) is one thing but comparing him to the worst mass murderer in history is another.

So apparently there is outrage from Obama criticizing the Supreme Court on the ruling regarding corporate donations?

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ynews/ynews_ts1231

Really, look at those comments.

I've not looked at that those comments, but I saw Obama's rebuke of the court during his SOTU speech - that was 'bad form', lacked decorum and was disrespectable on a number of levels. Wrong time, wrong place for that type of remark.

BTW: If you want a good example of over re-acting look at the left's reaction to that SCOTUS decision. Judging by their 'OMG! the sky is falling' type reaction it's clear that they didn't read the case and/or are interpreting it to all kinds of extreme outcomes. Interpreting a SCOTUS decision into a situation even marginally different is risky at best.

Bad example. Overreaction not found. I know accurate portrayal of the opposition isn't exactly a strong suit for the anti-Obama crowd, but don't kid yourself by thinking that only "the left" strongly disagreed with that ruling.

Not sure what the big deal is with Obama noting the obvious during the address, especially as he used respectful language and kept his message on point. I mean, not like he screamed "LIAR!" at anyone, or told someone to go fuck themselves. Now that would be a real breach of decorum.

I too missed that one. My favorite is the birth certificate. It's pretty apparent to me that the guy is a citizen, even though someone here posted some very interesting things about traveling on another country's passport. (Not sure how it can be right since some people hold dual citizenship, but it was interesting.) And it's blindingly apparent that the issue is now a moot point; no major party nominee is going to be set aside, much less a sitting president, and MUCH more less the first black president.

If it could be proved and or if there was any reasonable doubt that Mr Obama was not a US citizen, the GOP and their spokespersons would be screaming for his impeachment.

Hitler isn't anywhere NEAR the worst mass murder in history.

Mao Ze-Dong killed 78,000,000 people.
Joseph Stalin killed 23,000,000 people (the purges plus the famine caused in the Ukraine. Still more than Hitler even sans famine).

..Hitler is like third, and only if you count civilian deaths and not just camp death totals, otherwise he is surpassed by quite a few I believe.

Genocidal math is harder to exactly quantify. D:

As Moonbeam says, "I swallowed the fishing one hook line and sinker. I've been stabbing the back of my hand with an ice pick since it was first posted. I went in the living room and killed my goldfish."
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Silly Moonbeam, I believe in the Greek method of dealing with such miscreants. How well I do remember it was a year last November, when a GOP friend told me Obama was ending fishing forever. In my book it made him the bearer of bad news, so I sat him down, got my tackle box, and showed him all those lures and reels that were now useless. And while his back was turned I conked him with a handy baseball bat, grabbed a bunch of lures, stuffed it in his mouth, and set the hooks. Then I rushed off to my taxidermist to have him preserved for mounting on the wall. You are all invited over to see him, he looks good mounted on the mantle next to the 50 LB Musky I caught in Wisconsin. I was hoping to set some sort of Republican record, but I forgot to make sure my fishing line was pre certified, and besides, some of my Greek buddies bagged far bigger GOP members in the South. Must be something to be said about milder winters and a longer growing season that makes them grow bigger down South.

And even better, I no longer felt an urge to kill my goldfish.
