Just found out Jim Beam is owned by a Japanese company. Last time I buy Jim again!

It has only recently been purchased by a Japanese company. It started in America and continues to be produced in America.

I refuse to drink Jim Beam because at one point in his life, my father was drinking a lot of it and he ended up marrying a crazy hairdresser. He switched to Tito's Vodka and is happily not married to any crazy people. Has to be some sort of connection. It also helped me establish dating rules of: must have their own place, own a car, and cannot be a hair dresser. Has served me well so far.

wut?

since when are we at war with japan

doubt anything has changed in the production fo jim beam

It hasn't and it won't. Suntory actually makes some really good shit under their other labels also.

The vast majority of liquor sold is produced by arms of a small handful of huge companies, almost all are foreign based. Bacardi, Pernod, Diageo, etc....

They might be our allies, but they aren't our friends. They're such snobs with their non crumbling roads and infrastructure and table manners and attack on titan animes. Think they're so great. They look down on us Americans. Fuck those guys. 😡

Don't knock it till you try it... I thought it was an odd combination too, until I tried it. The two flavors really compliment one another. All I can do is suggest you try it some day, you might be surprised. 🙂

Apple juice is way too sweet for me, so no dice.

They also think everyone is mean to them when they travel outside of Japan!

You got dumped by a Japanese woman I am betting.

they never hated me, I screwed quite a few.

I was making a joke in reference to the Japanese being susceptible to "Paris Syndrome", in which, upon visiting Paris, the have feelings of persecution and depression. The idea is that because their media portrays Paris as literally everyone is a fashion model and the fact that culture is less rigid when it comes to politeness than traditional Japanese culture may give the impression of impoliteness.

OK? Wow you have that in your utility belt.

Most of the time that kind of crap needs some lead in.

The chicks I have dated and even were married to, had been to Paris...never mentioned that bullshit.

On occasion when I am out, but it's not my drink of choice.

KT

That's a heck of a drink to just pick up then.

If you have to drink it regularly, a little juice will probably sooth it.

I never got a taste for it and even refused $100+ shots of the crap.

Yeah, it's one of those things I have always meant to start trying more often, but honestly the last thing I need is to acquire the taste for yet another expensive alcohol. 😀

I really do not enjoy juices or colas in my alcohol, so if I can't drink something neat/rocks, or with a splash of something not so sweet, then it's hard for me to get interested.

It is pretty silly, but it happens. Mostly to Japanese. There are some other silly things like that such as Jerusalem Syndrome (people have a deep religious experience while in the holy land, despite not being religious at all before going) and a few others.

You really going there? Many will do that when / if they finally make it to their holy land.

I have never really heard of Japanese people having some Paris issue. I was married to one for 11 years that traveled alot.
