Personally, I think that sluts (either man or woman) are people who sleep around a lot. Who cares how you dance, what you wear or how others think you are (ie. tease could be misconstured as flirt) As long as you don't hurt anyone (that includes yourself) then everyone can take a flying jump in the lake

Actually, I don't consider guys who sleep around a lot 'The Man' Just horny 'Mimbos' Most of my friends are pretty much 100% devoted to their significant others and are never cheaters.

I think anyone who sleeps with someone who they're not in a relationship with is a slut. Male or female. People who partake in one-night stands are sluts. Girls and guys who get busy on the first or second date are sluts. I think sex should be reserved for being in love. some guys think that a chaste woman will be more faithful in a marriage, which makes sense. there are very few men who would ever wish to marry jenna jamison, but plenty who would like to sleep with her and call her a slut.

i personally think that sex is best when it's within the bounds of marriage. I've had more good lovin' in the almost two years i've been married than in all my 26 single years. no guilt, no worries, and you can practice all you want.

No, seriously...I don't think I've called anyone a slut, or thought anyone was one for that matter. What you do with your life, and body, is your business, and I'm not going to act holier than thou and criticize.

I pretty much have to agree with pamchenko here but then again I am a lot more tolerant of what a girl/woman has to do to be considered a slut since I'm too damn old to really care anymore.

To me a slut is a female who sleeps with men because she is insecure and feels that she must sleep with them to gain their attention. She needs the constant reinforcement to her ego. This type of woman does not use much judgement in choosing her sexual partners since she is driven by insecurity which means just about anybody can score with her if they feed her ego.

By the definitions of some of those here I was a male slut when I was younger and I guess that also made all those girls I knew sluts also.....Hmmm.....but I never considered myself or any girl I was ever with a slut, even if I had just met her.

Let me just say this plain and simple. Thats the way it is, thats the way it will always be and thats they was it has been. I am not for it or against, cause it really isnt my problem. However, just think about it. You're right happykitten. we are all sluts (those who like having sex with anyone or dating, etc.)
The only problem with this, and society is that we (meaning society) only focus on the womens activities. Why you may ask? well come on. Didnt you see that movie with Demi Moore (cant think right now). Women from the history were looked at and were suppose to be commited to their husbands and it was okay for them to go out and have &quot;mistresses.&quot; Our minds have been conditioned to think like that, so therefore we always look down on the women when they sleep around or whatever, and unlike men, its okay.
I am really against both positions. I am not a slut and will never be a slut, nor would i like a girl to be one either. I'm tired of that scene and I dont want search for people who are only interested in lust. In all my relationships sex was the only topic and thus making us both slutty (in our own way). so now im against that crap. Hope i shared some light, just MHO.

I reserve slut as a word for female. There is definatley a male equilvenant and follows the same guidelines, its just not called a slut by most people. I'd call it nasty, sad, man whore, horny college students, etc.

I'd also like to add, why the hell do people brag about their sex life? As far as I'm concerned, if I was intimate with a woman I wouldn't want anyone to know about it incluiding my close friends.

Those who brag about sex life use it as an ego tool and therefore disrespect their partner. I doubt my partner would like the details to spilled out to everyone.
