I like Aldi's idea. You have to insert a quarter to release the lock for each cart and you get it back when you attach the lock. It seems to work really well, I have never, ever seen a stray cart at Aldi's...ever. And if there was, there will always be someone who wants that quarter and will haul it up.

I agree. I also like them charging for bags, but giving boxes gratis. I only wish they kept a supply of boxes at the entrance. Sometimes they do, but I usually have to acquire one on my own. I'm usually lucky, but infrequently there isn't a suitably empty box to scavenge. I'm not gonna trash their shelf just to get a box.

We use reusable bags, many we got for free but the ones you buy can pay for themselves eventually and are usually much better and taller. I hate those small plastic bags like Walmart, Target..etc use. I have to make 30 trips back n forth to the car to gather everything.

I like the boxes cause I can use them for my recycle stuff. I used to use string bags at stores, but since most have gotten rid of the back conveyors, and the cashier bags, I quit using them. They're tricky to deal with if you aren't familiar, and cashiers under fill them. I've started putting the stuff back in the cart loose, and loading it loose in the car. That's where it ends up anyway when the crappy plastic bags spill, and I don't need anymore plastic bags. I'm pretty sure I have a lifetime supply.

That's what I was going to post. At least around here, they didn't even have cart corrals 40 years ago - people pushed their cart back. Now people are too freaking lazy to even return their cart to the cart corral that's 3 parking spots away.

That's everywhere. You can go to the fitness capital of the US (wherever that is) and find exactly the same thing in all the grocery store parking lots.

Tailgating by others. Drives me insane. Wanted so many times to just hit the brakes and let them do the damage but knew better. Will slow down if you get too close to me. If it's raining, I'll put my tires into the dirtiest, wettest portion of the road and cover you with as much stuff as I can (would love to spray WD40 out the window, but again, know better). Close second is those that try to push you out of a lane on a highway that is not limited access and has turning lanes to the left. All multi lane highways do not have fast / slow lanes.

Lazy fucks that don't put grocery items back where they belong after changing their minds(including frozen items!), and don't put the cart in the depot when finished. Those people(?) should have both of their knees broken with a pick handle. Then they'd at least have some kind of excuse for not walking their fat asses to the appropriate area, and doing their duty.

I used to see this crap all the time when I was a cashier in high school. People that didn't want something, like meat or ice cream, would try to surreptitiously put it into the magazine racks at the register, instead of just handing it to me so I could send someone to put it back.

We use the reusable fabric bags always these days at the market. The wife has a collection more or less, Thanksgiving, Christmas, a few plastic lined frozen food bags etc.

Usually have some small plastic bags around just to use as bathroom trash can liners.

If it's a multi-lane road, they are telling you to move to the right.

Again, not all multi lane roads have the requirement for me to move, just limited access highways, period. If I'm making a left turn, I have every right to be in the left lane, and if I'm not making a left turn, I have every right to be in the left lane. There are no fast / slow lanes on these type of highways.

Oh, and I'll be happy to move out of the way on a highway that requires me to move out of the way. However, if you push me, I'll slow down and slide back over (very slowly) to the car that I was passing. If I'm making a reasonable attempt to get past the other car and you're tailgating me, you're the one breaking the law, not me.

Slower traffic should keep right to ensure proper flow of traffic. It's a general rule and one that is frequently ignored by inconsiderate drivers.

Again, multi lane highways have left turns and in some cases, you need to be in the left lane (as the right lanes turn off). I'm not the one who is disobeying the law in the case (the tailgater is). Get over it. The law is greater than the general rule. I am not going to get over for you to pass if I have a left turn to make in a short distance or the right lanes are turning to another direction/road, and before you make me out to be some big inconsiderate driver, I'll say that I generally stay in the right lane and am far more considerate than other drivers. Be nice and if I can, I'll get out of your way or speed up to keep you flowing...push me and I'll slow up and annoy the living shit out of you.

Currently it is people who say "also to" instead of just "also" or "in addition" or whatever, also the overuse of the word "utilize"; people do not seem to just say "use" anymore, it always seems to be "utilize". :\

When I hold the door for someone and they don't say thank you.

I let them know they are assholes by sarcastically shouting "your welcome".

no one takes them because the have a perimeter wheel lock, its like a shopping cart invisible fence.

Ain't got time for left lane assholes to figure out that they are assholes; they never do. If people are passing on the right, it is because the asshole is too far left. No point in trying to fix dumb. Just pass on the right and be on your way.
Often times the "left lane assholes" are trying to merge right but can't because of all the people passing on the right. They slow down EVEN MORE to look for an opening. Good job.

Nah, they're just assholes. Nice try though.
